A great place to 'people watch' especially in the evenings as the Spanish people and the children all enjoy this open space with its friendly bars and restaurants. In spite of all the 'action' it is a relaxing place we found!

This is a relaxing square to sit and have a drink whilst watching the world go by. Pay it a visit before your evening meal and enjoy a refreshing drink as the sun goes down.

This place is fun. Great place to eat, drink and people watch, surrounded by lovely buildings. We had breakfast and pre-dinner drinks there every day.

It's a great place to sit and watch families enjoy the cool of the evening-parents relaxing with a drink while the kids play nearby. The square is surrounded by a number of elegant buildings but the 4 new wooden kiosks are something of an eyesore-all...More

If you are walking through the old center of Mérida, especially if you cross the Roman bridge, coming from the west, you can't help missing this square. It is not grandiose like others farther to the north in Castilla-Leon, but this is Extremadura, a much...More
