I understand this to be the oldest Romanesque Cathedral in spain. Very little interior light. Narrow, alabaster windows. Easy to imagine spain 800 years ago in this setting. Very simple interior, Very different from the more ornate later Spanish cathedrals. an interesting half hour.

Just pop in, it is on the pilgrim trail. Interesting history. Just be aware it closes for spanish lunch time.

This really is a rather impressive cathedral. Huge amounts of religious imagery, albeit that the designs aren't exactly subtle, but if that's what the faithful want, then that is what they should have. Previous reviewers have criticised the fact that you have to pay to...More

It is indeed a peculiar small cathedral with very rare and artistic praying paintings and altars. It is a pity that you have to put some coins to get it illuminated because the golden porticos are quite interesting and unique. Do not miss the Museum...More

No stop over to Jaca should be without a walk by and a view of the cathedral. The building is both impressive and very old. Jaca has huge history from the war in 1800 so well worth a visit. 😊

Beautiful Cathedral with so much history. There was a rosary going on in the background during our visit, and it seemed like a large crowd attending. It was very soothing to enter the cathedral with so much going on but at the same time very...More

Impressive well maintained example of Romanesque (Norman) architecture. I was particularly fascinated by the alabaster windows in place of glass giving the interior an eerie quality. A Euro coin pays for about 4 minutes illumination of the altar and its frescoes but entry is free...More

It's one of the least interesting cathedrals in the region and you have to pay for the light inside: completely dark otherwise. Scandelous.

A historical church founded in 1070s, St Peter the Apostle, it has had several renovations and additions since its foundation. It is a must visit for the Pilgrims in the path of St James Way or Camino de Compostela (the French route) in the way...More
