Came here as part of the Chianti & San Gimignano sunset tour with Tuscan Escapes, and had absolutely wonderful time. Sandra who took our tour at the winery was absolutely wonderful, spoke brilliant English, was passionate and knowledgeable both about the winery and its wines. Nicola who chipped in later, turned out to be the owner, was so kind with his input and info (we had no idea he was the owner, which recommends him for his humility, given his family's illustrious history). The wines we tasted were at least 6, and all were fantastic, we walked away with packs of wine. My favourites were their fab rose, suitable for any fish and seafood dishes, just the right side of acidity, but so flavoursome, La Bandite single parcel vineyard chianti, Enrico, as well as their Chianti Classico flagship. And I dare you to find better Vinsanto anywhere, divine. Loved the setting, loved the grounds, fab cellars, everything super clean and welcoming. An absolute must to visit. PS they have 3 rooms of agriturismo there, definitely worth checking out, I got the brochure for next time, as it all looked so beautiful, especially the landscaping/garden setting next to each. Loved this place!

A pleasant farm stay type establishment.
Main problem is access to the town as it is 2-3km from town so only way to get there was walk or taxi.
Taxis were 35 Euro each way as had to come from Siena so 39 Euro flag fall - expensive.
Next morning to get virtually to just past town wall was 49 Euro. Not a great experience.
Breakfast staff quite good and reception staff helpful although organising a taxi next morning took a while.
It’s location is a negative but not much around I think except for the walled city. Not much to the town other than the walk so overall disappointed with what it offered.
A restaurant there helped us get a taxi home the night we stayed.
The accommodation was hindered by having to drag luggage up stairs to our room. No air conditioning was a minus also.Pleasant stay hindered by some missing facilities and distance to town

this was the highlight of the half day wine tour from Florence by mytouritaly.
very well presented informative wine tasting and tour. plenty of history of Chianti winemaking, tasting tips, well worth a stop and a drop of well rounded full bodied wines.

I visited Lornano June 01, 2015 for a wine tasting. Our party of 6 were given a thorough tour or the winery operation and we had a lovely lunch provided. We tasted a number of wines and I purchased 6 bottles of the Chanti Classico which has just arrived here in Australia. I have already drunk one of the bottles which was just as good as my notes taken at the winery. The others will be put away for short term cellaring. I did have to pay Australian Customs duty which has made the wine somewhat expensive. I'll try to source the wine here in Australia.

We toured the winery, portions of the vineyard, and discussed the process with company personnel. I was impressed not only with the growing region but the product that was produced in all their individual varieties.

Spent a week here with the family in Malvasia. Very comfortable accommodation and idillic setting. Very close to key roads to Siena and Florence would make it a great base for exploring. The only downside and the reason I won't be returning is that we were eaten alive. Have stayed in Italy many times and you normally get one or two bites but I had 9 just on the back of my neck. Not sure why and maybe we were just unlucky. Also watch out for the restaurant nearby. Expensive and not good.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tour and tasting. We also found the process for us to buy and ship wine back to the US very easy. Furthermore, when we had an inquiry about our wine it was very easy to communicate with Lorano!

We would definitely recommend visiting and plan on ordering more wine from them in the future!

Our driver and tour guide suggested we stop in for lunch and a wine tasting. Great recommendation! They were the nicest people who take pride in their wines. We had an excellent lunch accompanied by some surprisingly very good wine. So enjoyable that we continue to buy it, shipping it to the states. Definitely worth a stop while touring.
