Just next to the marina the Roman remains includes a large villa complex with a small museum. Well maintained. Entrance is 3 Euros and it closes for lunch.

greatly surprised by the history and fascinated to see the ruins dating back many years in an area I previously thought was totally modern and touristic.

Clearly marked good information in english and a pleasant 45 mins away from the tourist madness. A great half day when added to the mini-golf for a cold drink afterwards

This small well-preserved and curated site should not be missed. The ground -plan of the villa is well-laid out and signed. The geometric mosaic designs of the principal floor areas are clear and attractive and the communal baths area beyond the villa are a revelation, A map of the site is provided with the modest 3 euro entrance fee and... This activity was interesting and informative. The lady on reception was very pleasant and spoke good English. It is worth a visit and not far from the marina.

After a day at the beach, went looking for Cerro da Vila & for €3 only, it's a bargain. Amazing to find a Roman archaeological site in Vilamoura, charming place, amazing site & friendly staff.

An indoor room of interesting exhibits. Outside it is lovely to stroll around at your leisure and view the foundations and structure of the roman buildings. We only spent an hour here but it was very interesting, informative and pleasurable.

The site shows the skeletal remains of a roman villa, however, unless you are a real archeologist, the limited remains may not be that interesting. A visit might last 15 minutes to the site.

This place is crammed full of history. It's an amazing museum filled to the brim with artefacts & the outside with the uncovered ruins blows you mind! It is also very good value for money.
