We had booked an exclusive quad trip to the Pasvik valley for our family of four (2 adult “kids). The weather was not the best, so Ulf, our guide and company owner was able to adjust the timing of the trip to avoid the worst of the rain. Ulf was very attentive to us and adjusted the pace to fit our skill level. He blended riding, tour guiding, local history and storytelling to a very enjoyable mix. Great experience

We hugely enjoyed a snowmobile experience with Wolf - our Sami guide who did so much more than ensure a safe exciting trip on the frozen Fjord. The experience was booked through Hurtigruten and whilst not cheap was everything we hoped for. Bitterly cold day but we were equipped with great warm clothing and the snowmobiles had heated handles which made all the difference. Highly recommended

Went to a king crab safari on Saturday, and everything was absolutely perfect: the weather, the catch, the crab meal, the company but especially the hosts: got picked up from the hotel by Hans- what a great guy- followed by our captains/guides Lene and Ken! Such a professionals, fun, great hospitality from beginning to end. Our 3,5 hour safari turned out to be nearly six hours of fun and good experiences!
I strongly recommend this company; it is just not about the crab safari, but also all the other things around the trip; the stories about the Norwegian-Russian border etc.
What a great afternoon we had !!!

We went on a short but expensive trip with ulf to the Russian border, and we saw a piece of desolate forest that was the "Hidden" border and the official border along with a souvenir shop.
However none of it was very exciting and nothing was done to spice up the trip a little bit with some more back roads or just a little bit of dirt track driving (we passed the track twice).
So a little disappointed compared to the price..

Brilliant experience . It was - 12ºC and we loved it.
We were a small group which maybe helped as we received first class treatment from Ken. A brief introductory session after being kitted-out in cold-weather suits, helmets, gloves and boots then a long drive through the snow at night.
Back in we had a crab dinner with wine sat by a roaring fire and Ken chatted with us so we learnt a lot about life in Kirkenes.
Highly recommended

Excellent tour with family of 11. Ulaf picked us up and returned us to our hotel, led our snowmobiling tour on the frozen fjord, and served us King Crab in the Sami hut. He and Ken treated us very well, and even performed a Sami fire ceremony for good luck. We highly recommend Barents Safari!

We booked a private 3.5 hour quad bike tour with Ulf for 4 family members. We visited the Russian Border, some stunning off road tracks with fabulous views, a tour around the town of Kirkenes. The tour was fantastic, perfectly put together, safe and really great fun.

We did the snowmobiling tour and had a fabulous time. It was just myself and my husband and the guide (I have forgot his name!) so sorry as I should because he was excellent. He was very calm, considering I crashed twice!! We were out on the mobiles for 2 1/2 hrs and loved every minute. Definitely recommend Barents Safari tours for the personal touch at a great price. Our tour was Sunday 4th February

We were prepared for driving the snowmobile by an experienced tour guide after we had put on special cold protection suits including special boots and cold protection gloves. Driving was quite easy, you just have to brake and accelerate and it was a lot of fun. We would do it again and again. Thanks to ULF, it was a great experience!! 😊

We went on the King Crab safari today.
It was unique. We had a very professional team with Ken and Sergej and learned a lot about the crabs and the story of Boris Gleb.
Everything was very well organized, we were even picked up from our RV parking space.
Thank you very much for that, we can recommend this tour at any time.

They pick you up from both of the big hotels in Kirkenes, Skandik and Thon, and bring you about 15 minute drive to their headquarters. From there start the activities.

Hi what is your policy with regards to young children riding as passengers on the 3 hrs snowmobile safari. We have 3 adults and 3 children (small 5 yr old/ tall 6 year old & 11 year old. They ok to ride as passengers? Many thanks

Estou querendo reservar o King Crab Safari de barco até a fronteira russa (em Kirkenes), com a empresa Barents Safari Tours mas não estou conseguindo contato com eles.
Já mandei vários emails para info@barentssafari.no , mas não consegui resposta. Não sei se o email mudou ou o que possa ter ocorrido? Também não existe contato direto no site!!!

Outra coisa, vou agora, dia 1 de julho, no verão, qual o horário você me recomendaria fazer o passeio. Eles tem 3 horários 9h , 14h e 18h

How do I get my booking confirmation? Several email sent. Replied once. Then I try to get my booking confirm via email and facebook messenger. Facebook messenger showed they read my message but still fail to reply. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Sorry to hear that. We communicated via email and always received instant relpies. As soon as the booking was finalized we have received vouchers for each activity. However, summer is their low season so maybe they are slower than in the winter.

I have emailed, snail mailed and facebook messaged about a reservation in June 2018 for the river safari. I have not received a reply and it's been 2 months. Is there any point to continuing? Hardly any of the recommendations were for the river safari. Is it not a good option?

I have just spoken with Barents safari. I was a bit surprised over no reply you are referring to. My experience over this company is good.
The owner told me they have problems with mail transferred from FB and TripAdvisor. Lost in the dark hole somewhere...
I will forward your questions to manager in Barents safari and he promised to reply.

My self I have not been on this safari. Only king crab safari which where a cool experience with all the steps. Zodiac boat, catch, boil, eat, nature, wind in the hair and experienced staff.
