Great fun watching the crab traps being pulled from the fjords and watching our hosts sort through the crabs. Then we had a scenic ride upstream to the camp where we feasted on steamed crab legs. Yummy and scrumptious!!! We also learned about life on the Russian-Norwegian border - the cooperation between the two countries. Only disappointment - you DON'T... More

This was a very nice excursion to the Russian - Norwegian border. The staff of Barents Safari was very polite explaining how the quad worked as well as informing us on the wider region of the border crossing. A very special thank you to Karína.

With a good guide the Quad Safari to the Russian Border could have been okay. But nothing more than that. If you think this is a wild and exciting trip, you'll be negatively surprised. As I only found out after the trip, Barents Safari actually advertises this with the words: "Fun, Easy, Wild, Breathtaking!" Well, easy it was. Fun, wild... More

A boat trip to the Russian border, with knowledgeable guides, fishing for king crabs, crab and cloudberry supper. A thoroughly nice evening. I booked at short notice, and was glad I had taken this opportunity.

Hans and his wife Nicole have perfected this adventure for the last 20 years and it went WAY beyond our expectations! They both are extremely knowledgeable and so much fun and their English is terrific. After outfitting us in warm drysuits and life preservers, we set off to check on their king crab traps and were rewarded with about a... More

Most likely the best snow mobile tour in Kirkenes. Ulf is full of personality and as he was born and bred in the local area, shares information that you may not get elsewhere. The snowmobiles are very modern and a comprehensive safety demonstration is given. We were taken to a remote farm, that has now been deserted and were even... More

During our Hurtigrutenvoyage we booked a snowmobilesafari and it turned out to be with Barentssafari. It was a 3 hour ride with guide Ulf accros a part of an frozen fjordarm of the Barendssea. It is a very smooth ride and you just ride in one line behind each other (no overtaking) so there isn't much of a special challenge.... More

We did a small Snowmobile tour with Ulf and had some fantastic time there. Not cheap, but worth its price.
