Last year we bought a Grand D 600 RIB from Marine Matters. At the time we (co-owners) were told by Henry (‘H’) that this was just the beginning of a worthwhile relationship with the boatyard. The promise of excellent after sales service and invitations to join various boating social events were sure to follow he said. Well, while our new boat met our expectations it did develop a couple of minor faults which we pointed out to H at the end of the season. I received an email reply back the same day with the assurance that both were covered under warranty along with an arrangement to pick the boat up from our dry stack, transport back to Marine Matters boatyard, perform the repairs and return. We were kept fully informed by Rich, the workshop manager, at all stages. Today, we inspected the repairs and couldn’t have been more pleased. So, our experience thus far is that H and his team back up their pre sales promises when it comes to after sales services. Thanks guys!

Our first visit to the boat last week showed a problem with the throttle and linkage which delayed our first trip out after the relaxation of Covid rules. Yet Henry, Rich and Harry at Marine Matters put themselves out to fix it within a remarkable 24 hours which got us out on the water super quick. I know they're so busy right now but had to mention the great customer service we always get from MM! Thanks guys!

Just back from my Day Skipper (Motor) practical with Marine Matters. The booking process was excellent with Lisa (office) answering all my questions and being very flexible and helpful about everything. Being able to stay on the boat was a real bonus as it saved on B&B costs and also meant we could stay away overnight (we stayed in Cowes). The instructor (Tim) was super; very experienced and able to instruct in a clear and friendly way that made us all (3 attendees) feel at ease. The boat, a Sealine F42/5, was larger than I intended to charter but provided good experience and was fun to drive. The region (The Solent) is great for this course as there is always so much going on which is what you want when you are learning. So, in summary, an excellent course and thoroughly recommended.

Great 2 day course. Outstandingly professional training that is very thorough but stress free and fun. Well structured course, tons of hands on experience. Have completed numerous sailing courses before crossing the floor to power this is one of the best and enjoyable I have attended.

Hi Michael, Thank you for you kind words. I will pass on your generous praise to Adam, your instructor, who in no small part is the reason for your good experience. We look forward to seeing back with us in the future. Many thanks "H"

Having just completed my PB2, VHF Radio and Yachtmaster theory courses with Marine Matters I can honestly say this is THE best experience I have had with an RYA school by a large margin. The staff and instructors are friendly, patient and knowledgeable, the facilities and boats are top notch and the teaching is thorough, well taught in depth with practical real world examples. I literally cannot wait to sign up for some further courses and get some additional PB hours in. FANTASTIC!!!

Having completed my Powerboat level 2 ticket, I was keen to get out on a rib in the Solent.

Having researched a few places i came across Marine Matters. Everything from booking through to getting out on the rib was as easy as could be.

The Rib was a 6.5m brig, brand new in march! We took it out in October and the day could not have been any better. From the start of the day and the introduction around the boat, it was clear that Marine Matters know what they are talking about and really take care of their ribs and customers.

We cruised across to the Isle Of Wight and round to Yarmouth harbour for lunch. We then went round to the needles for a bit of sightseeing. The boat didn't miss a beat and handled everything the Solent had to offer it.

All in all, a relaxing yet professional company to deal with, and a top class Rib.

We will be back next year (once the weather is a bit warmer) to do it all again!

From the first phone to inquire about a rib for sale through to the handover, the attention to detail, the customer service has been superb. No question was considered trivial, Advice was readily forthcoming, overall an excellent customer service. Well done Henry, Lisa and Jean. Excellent service thank you, and the boat is great as well.

Just finished the 2 day RYA Powerboat level 2 course with Marine Matters down in Warsash and would definitely recommend the company to anyone considering the course.

Firstly the group sizes are small, maximum 3 people, we had just 2 of us allowing for plenty of hands-on practice and involvement in discussions. The majority of the course is spent on the water (1.5 days) and a morning in the classroom covering theory.

The protective gear provided was new this year (Jan '18) and as a result in top condition along with the boat itself (BRIG RIB 6.5m) which we were some of the first to try out.

Most importantly, the quality of instruction was fantastic by the instructor Noel ...hats off to you. Noel was concise in the delivery of the content and provided great advice specific to our personal goals. Noel had a laid back and interactive style of teaching which encouraged involvement and ensured everyone was in good spirits for the duration. Plenty of banter yet maintained a professional edge throughout.

The RYA selected Marine Matters as the venue for my Instructor update in February and the staff were very friendly and helpful their boat was well appointed and I greatly appreciated the efficient heating one board, having grown more sensitive to the cold after years abroad. Thank you guys.
