The Somnath Beach Area has an entry ticket with a small Chowpatty (similar to other beaches) with Camel rides, shopping stalls and food options.

The better part is the promenade where you can see the Somnath Temple on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. It has seating facility and one can take a stroll on the pathway. Cycle on hire is also available for a roundabout tour.

Beautiful sunset views and more peaceful than the Chowpatty area. One can spend couple of hours here depending on time availability. It is safer even after sunset.

The Chowpatty area is sand beach whereas the promenade has big rock boulders. Choose your preference and a good place to spend evenings in Somnath.

If you are in Somnath, visit this beach. The way from temple to beach is covered with various local stalls. Try to go at 200 meter distance from these stalls, so that you can enjoy the view.

The beach is located adjacent to the Somnath temple. It is a 10 minutes walk from the temple. The road leading to the beach has shops selling goodies, coconuts etc on both sides. The beach is not very clean and attractive. Also, the sunset is not visible from the beach. There were horses and camels available for fun rides on the beach. We even spotted parasailing! The beach is okay-ish for spending some time in the evening.

It is amazing to see the spectacular view of the vast sea at Somnath. The water in very calm hence once can enjoy the evening and morning in such calm sea water.
The breath is quite clean and well maintained. It becomes more enjoyable when you see sunset right from the beach.
Very great experience.
