    First visit - great find
We discovered Kipling Hall and Gardens by chance. What a wonderful find. The staff and volunteers are friendly and welcoming. In particular a tall lady (sorry didn’t get her name) spent a lot of time with us, explaining the background to the hall and future plans. She was passionate which was lovely to see. It gave us the encouragement to visit again. We had a lovely walk around the lake and gardens. We also booked an afternoon tea which we enjoyed. We did find the cakes a little bit stodgy. The sandwiches were tasty, and it was a nice pot of tea. We plan to visit again in the near future and have recommended this place to our friends and family. Thank you to the staff of volunteers, who make this such a lovely place to visit, no matter the season.

A great afternoon with lots to do and see
Had a great afternoon with my grandchildren at Kiplin hall today, did the Halloween 🎃 trail which is really good both children enjoyed it, aged 4 and 8 and visited the tea rooms, great service and lovely cakes. Played on the wooden ship and walked the grounds. A bit limited today as the lake was out of bounds due to the bad weather yesterday. Visit lasted about 3 hours.

Much more to see than expected
We visited on a Saturday and it was my first visit inside the house, which wasn’t too busy despite it being a weekend. We began with lunch in the tearoom, I had the soup, which was delicious, and all the food looked very good. Our tour of the house was very interesting and there was a lot more to see than I’d expected. All the furniture and furnishings were part of the house’s history and I liked that some rooms had been preserved as they had been ‘found’ like the wartime rooms. The grounds were lovely, though it was probably too early in the year to fully appreciate them.

We enjoyed our walk around the grounds on a winter’s day and it was lovely to see the snowdrops. However, the house was closed. Unfortunately we were charged the full price for entry even though we could not visit the hall.

Visited the tea room twice this month with different friends. Dried stale cakes on sale on both occasions. The first time we put it down to maybe an unlucky bake or end of the day drying out but two separate occasions is worrying. Last visit there were also dogs fighting in the tea room which was pretty dire when we’d gone for a nice peaceful afternoon treat. I like dogs but not when they’re fighting with each other right beside my table! The owners were clearly unperturbed and the staff ignored it. Visit the gardens but I’d avoid the tea room and won’t be visiting there again.

Spent a few hours here exploring the gardens, didn't look round the house as we were on holiday and had our dog but enjoyed walking around the gardens and the children enjoyed the pond dipping. Finished off the morning with a hot chocolate inside as dogs are allowed in the cafe

I was disappointed by the gardens.Mid-July there were empty borders in the walled garden and lots of weeds amongst the veg plots
