On par with the amazon forests, this waterfalls looks so majestic during the rains. From far above the hills it may look like a normal one but this is really huge as you get close to it.

Thoovanam falls can been seen deep into the jungle from Munnar-Udumalpet road before entering into Marayur. Pamber river passing through Chinnar wildlife sanctuary cascades from a height of 1400 feet and creates this magnificent fall. A road from Marayur also leads closer to this waterfall....More

Requires a guard to accompany you. It will cast around 225 RS per person and need to trek along forest for more than a hour. Can't take bath on direct fall and rather allowed to have bath near the pool down the water fall. Not...More

This water falls is in Chinnar known as Amaravati River in Tamil Nadu.The one hour walk for Thoovanam starts at Alampatty forest check post.Better to take a local guide.

Clam and nice water fall were you can take shower with kids,it is clean and safe you have forest guards to help you when you are there

Amazing waterfalls. It takes about a couple of hours trek to reach the place. Though we were not able take a dip because of security restrictions, it was a nice view.
