Shri Adi Shankaracharya is revered as the incarnation of Lord Shri Dakshina Murty, i.e. Lord Shiva i.e. the Lord of Ultimate Knowledge. He is the holy delight not only for the residents of His... NOT the birthplace...But one should still visit. The place is built and managed by Kanchi Peetham. It's small but tower style has given enough space to display the life of Adi Sankaracharya (meaning 1st supreme head of Hindu Religion). Although one has to climb lot of floors but it is worth the effort. Very well presented as compared to the... More

Been here with a bunch of friends after Sabarimala trip, after which we were pretty much tired and exhausted. We expected this place to having queues and all like other temples. Turns out, absolutely not. The place is so peaceful, spacious and surely has all the aura. Nothing stops you from a deep meditation. Being very close to the Cochin... More

The Padhukas of Sri Shankaracharya is kept here and worshiped. Each Painting tells a story of the Acharya which is very interesting that we will... More
