Place is located on the right side of way to Lakkidi View Point. Follow the Google map, else you may miss it. Adjacent to the main road. Nothing special besides having a belief by the locals.

Just another usual tree with chain hanged because of some belief beside the road. Not a tourist destination at all.

It's near the Wayanad ghat pass. Chain hanging from a big tree. Got it name from a tribe named karinthandan. He is the one who helped british to make the road in thamarassery churan.

Nothing to see at all !!! Hang a heavy chain to a tree within eye sight and that's ur chain tree !! Really can't fathom how does it even qualify to be a tourist destination

Interesting story, Ghost of local tribes who were betrayed and killed here by British after getting their support to lay road to Wayand is said to be chained here. Chained when tree was small, over the years tree grown bigger but the chain never broken....More
