Are you dreaming of a real authentic adventure? Longing for silence and tranquility?Do you wonder how it feels relaxing outside your tent, after spending a full day exploring one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, using the most environmental friendly means of transport ever – the kayak? If you long for some of the above you should check out Njord. We have been guiding people in the outdoors since 1999, given thousands of customers a great day out – or the adventure of a lifetime – kayaking the beatiful fjords of Norway.Western Norway is the area for our activities. Njord specialize in kayak and wilderness adventures, in the fjords and by the North Sea coastline. We have bases in Flåm and – if you are in for a real adventure – the amazing archipelago of Bulandet. For the last years, we have set the standard for adventure tourism in Norway, building a happy and competent crew to give our customers the best of service. Our philosophy is that our main product is everlasting and positive vacation memories. We only recruit guides that have considerable knowledge about nature and safety, a structured mind and the positive spirit that is the core value of the company. We are concerned with the nature that surrounds us and have a philosophy of leaving no trace of our journey. I joined the 4hr Kayaking group back in June with Erika and Valerie, who were both fantastic guides. Erika and Valerie were funny, engaging, enthusiastic and fantastic guides for the tour. They were full of local knowledge and provided a great amount of information without overwhelming us. The kayaking itself was very casual and the short hike was lovely. I... More

For kayaking novices this was perfect but still challenging. Daniel makes the experience relaxed and interesting and you soon master the technical aspects and enjoy the outstanding landscape around the fjord. The historical perspectives add to this rich experience. If you're thinking of doing this activity, don't hesitate, just do it. You'll never regret it. We all had the greatest... More

Daniel our guide was so terrific! He gave us great safety instructions and was very helpful in getting us to "gear up"! This is an easy trip except you do need to get in and out of a kayak as well as hike up a mildly rocky trail. The scenery is gorgeous and Daniel stopped a few times to share... More

This Kayaking tour with Erika and Valerie was spectacular. They were the best guides in preparing us for our trip, teaching us the history of the area, and leading us onto the most amazing hiking trails. They made the entire adventure truly fun, exciting, and incredibly memorable. If only we could do it every day... Thank you, Erika and Valerie!

This is a very professional tour guiding company. They think of everything you need, and really add value with their local knowledge. We went on the Old Kings' Path kayak tour with Daniel, and learned lots while having a wonderful experience. I'd wanted to kayak in the fjords for years, and had arranged our stay in the area around availability... More

This trip was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Norwegian fjords are simply breathtaking and being so far away from a civilized world does wonders to your mind. Our tour guide, Marta, was very knowledgeable and accommodating and her bubbly and live personality definitely added to the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Daniel & Torbjorn (spelled wrong I am sorry!) were our guides. Knowledgeable and interesting. Easy kayak and hike along King's Trail. Very relaxing!

Enjoyed a really good 3 hour paddle with Daniel as our guide. He was great at guiding the group, and gave us some interesting insights along the way. The Aurlandsfjord is obviously stunning but kayaking allows you to see it in a really different way, and I think to appreciate the scale of it all even more!

I cannot thank our guide Daniel enough for the incredible experience that was our Old Kings Path tour yesterday. So many interesting bits of information and lovely to see the sites away from the hustle and bustle of Flåm. Wetsuit, cag, buoyancy aid and drybags were all thoughtfully included. The hike was simple but provided lovely scenery and a great... More
