Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice old fortress by the sea, with a small town and restaurants inside. Lots of beautiful views to enjoy and platforms. Free entry.

Lovely old town at the foot of the castle. Great feeling, little windy narrow streets, beautiful time to stroll around, get lost, and then know exactly where you are 1 minute later. No hawkers or shop / restaurant owners trying to drag you in. Lovely.

This is a very beautiful part on town. Narrow streets and a lot of photo opportunities.
If you are in Tossa de Mar, do not miss this part of town.

Tossa de Mar is a very small and cozy town, has a quiet family holiday. Small streets, ancient red roof tiles, stone houses, calm and friendly locals, shops. The main attraction of the city is Villa Vella, a medieval fortress city built in the twelfth century. It's a tiny town in a small town😍. It was interesting for us just to walk around this fortress. In general, there are a lot of interesting places and expositions here, and there are excellent views all around. both in the fortress and everywhere on the coast there are specially equipped viewing platforms - take pictures for fun!

this town is sensational, with a seaside promenade and too many restos to choose from. We had a large dinner between 7 people and i baby, with plenty of wine and it was 200 euros. You cant beat that.

Lovely but the place was dead for October and all bars and cafes were shut. Lovely views from the top and I would hope in the height of summer this would be thriving with tourists.

This well maintained area reflects the skills of the builders many years ago without the modern technology available today.
It has withstood the tests of time and has retained its natural beauty and reflects the colourful local materials used. The narrow cobbled pathways take you through the buildings allowing a close up view of the original construction and how people lived hundreds of years ago. The castle and its towers create an impressive outline when standing back from the area especially at night when illuminated. Climbing the steep steps that access the top of the city wall makes one realise the effort that the inhabitants put into the overall construction. A really beautiful experience and something that should be explored and enjoyed.
