Sandy beaches but many steps to get to them. Although the German Bath and sun bathe naked it's worth walking over the sand dunes, take plenty of water as it's extremely hot. At the other end the beaches are split by rocky groins to break the waves but its very safe for kids and poor swimmers like me.take your litter with you as there are bins at the steps and water to clean the sand from your feet. A few eaterys on the beach but many places at the top. Sat and wed market well sign posted but be warned pickpockets are around and if the have no prices on products haggle hard cos a 45 euro leather wallet came rapidly down to 20. Local bus to Morgan was very simple and so was the aquarium, pay cash or by card we used a revelute card aquarium was about 12 euros for 2 each way and Morgan was about 4 euros each. Its a long way to the view point so do it slowly and early and again warning of pickpockets. If you like dancing it's free at the kasbah shopping centre in the evening. Lots of other activities available Inc go cart racing, the buggies are mostly on winding roads with only a tiny section off road but still great fun. The downfall is they tout for tips at the end ,and I think it's wrong if you need more money ,charge more. Great hotel so we are considering going back for longer.

A very unique experience to walk over these sand dunes to the sea, making use of the well-marked pathways (distances markers included). This experience can be undertaken after walking or swimming at the beach or vice-versa after a walk toward the sea across the dunes. There is also a wonderful pathway along the top to view the whole "dessert" scene in all its glory. The latter option is ideal for the more physically challenged as walking the dunes needs considerable determination and not a little strength. I personally walked along this paved pathway to the Riu Palace Maspalomas Hotel where there is a small viewpoint with excellent indicators of the pathways available and the distances involved in taking each. The very adventurous head to the lighthouse!

Was on holiday with my partner May 2023 and came the beach a couple of times. Beautiful beach with some clothing optional areas little bars/cafes here and there. Surrounding sand dunes are something else. Can be a little rocky in places

The gay beach is now one kiosk #5 further along with rainbow 🌈 flags a few hundred yards along.you can’t miss it Kiosk 7 was busy & frequented with mainly middle aged& older couples/solo mostly all nude. Sunbed+ parasol E7.50 card only. Kiosk has snacks/ice creams/ drinks/bar area with chairs and parasols plus toilets. There’s a big LOVE sign on the beach If coming from Maspalomas lighthouse end of beach 10-15 mins walk, easier to walk along the shoreline than through the Dunes. Sand gets very hot. Take only your sandals/beach shoes to the sea when going for a swim in the sea. Naked swimmers and clothed people walkers all on shoreline, no issues. Some couples left their sunbeds & bags for a bit to head into the Dunes behind kiosk for a nude afternoon stroll.

The beach is absolutely beautiful, with miles of sand dunes and plenty to explore. There is a walk you can do from the Dunes to the light house following the nature reserve path, it is mainly sand though. Please take a drink with you as it gets very hot. Breathtaking views!

Lovely sandy beach. Sea was lovely and warm. Wear swimshoes if going swimming as there are a few rocks before you get far out. Also the sand burns your feet so they are a must ! We walked to the sand dunes, nothing to see but sand really. People come around selling things whilst you are sunbathing, which is a nuisance. Paid 7.50 eur for 2 sunbeds and parasol, which was worth it, but when you have paid, you dont expect to be harassed by sellers. Also payment was by card only. Walked along the prom, past the lighthouse and visited a few shops. Lovely area, would definitely visit again, a lot nicer than Playa del Ingles

Visited from Mogan and came on the bus, really good as the bus station isn’t a far walk to the beach and sand dunes. We walked to the sand dunes - how wonderful those hot! Great water areas to wash your feet after and plenty of cafes etc to get a drink and food. A high end little area of shops near to the beach which also had a supermarket. Really lovely and upmarket area Maspalomas is! Really impressed and world visit again!

Had a lovely day at this beach. Chose to do a shore excursion while on a cruise to the Canary islands. So glad I did. Lovely beach with good facilities. Nice restaurants that are reasonably priced. Will return one day.

We are currently in Maspalomas in September week 1. Thought it worth updating and correcting some earlier reviews. The beach is huge with plenty of room for everyone and all persuasions. We enter from the Lighthouse end and find plenty of sunloungers for families and everyone wears a costume although a few ladies are topless. Further along the beach towards Playa del Ingles is cabin 8 with tables and chairs for customers to enjoy their drinks. Shortly afterwards is a Red Cross post and this seems to signify the clothing optional area. At cabin 7 there are a number of sun loungers and parasols frequented mainly by nudists, as is the beach around it. The loungers are good value at 7.50 euros for the day but payment is by credit card. Further along is Cabin 6 which flies a Pride flag so aimed at the gay community. No dogs were seen on the beach and beach sellers/massage guys were around but certainly didn't hassle anyone. They knew how to take no for an answer and just moved on. A walk on the dunes gives a new perspective but wear shoes as the sand is scorching in the hot weather. This has just turned into our favorite place in the Canaries. E
