Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a gem of a castle, down a dusty road from the main road out of St Paul's. Such a shame it's dis-used. It's imposing, has location and history.

Plus, if you're interesed in World War II and Malta, there's the remnants of Fort Campbell. It's the last military fortification to be built in Malta.

Just visited this place from the outside as I don't think you can go inside. Very majestic place. But in big need of attention and restoration. Act before it is late.

We walked out to this and then on to an old abandoned second world war site from Mellieha, quiet area, safer walking as off main roads, pretty enough buiding for couple photos of outside, wasn't open to visitors in April

Impressive old palace, which is attached to a closed hotel complex. There is no access to the building, other than the view from the outside of the carpark. There is cctv all round the property. Nice to look at in passing. It is on the way to a WW2 fort - fort campbell which can be explored at your own pace

Such a shame this building is so beautiful. But you are not allowed access to it. It is not used for anything and sadly not open to the public.

You can enjoy a lovely walk around this whole area of Selmun with spectacular views, lovely wild flowers and peace and quietness. About half an hour from Valletta. The Palace is not open to the public but is a beautiful building. Lovely restaurant close to the Palace.

The Palace has been closed to the public for years now and it’s falling into neglect so going there just to see it is a complete waste of time. However, the area between the palace and the shore is great for waking the dogs (keep them on the lead especially during the hunting season). Be prepared for piles of trash here and there but then it’s nothing new on the Island.

Went here to kill some time before heading to the airport home. It didn't seem to be open so we did a bit of walking around. Nothing to write home about.

Fabulous building but not open to the public it's a bit run down as it belongs to the hotel next door and that closed down years ago, if you like history worth a visit ,
