This town lacks a central business district with skyscrapers and a historic walking area. It has some nice residential areas, decent shopping and business opportunities. This is not really a tourist town but a place to live and work in.

If you happen to be in Bukit Mertajam town dont forget t rojak. Its near to the BM market. Its a mix fruit rojak with some 'cha koi' mixed. Its sauce is so special and that is the secret of its taste. Must trym
