This is quite a large complex, with a lot to see. It was warm when we went in the late afternoon. It was not really busy, and no tourists. It was quiet as well, something I really liked and very suitable for this place. There are enough photo opportunities with statues, huge stairs but also green sceneries.
To see the graves of the kings and queens, traditional clothes are mandatory. You can hire those and you need to change clothes first. As for the woman the shoulders are naked, my wife did not want to do that on a hot sunny day. So we did not see the last resting places. But that will happen another time, I am sure.

You will feel the calmness when you entering the location. Many places to visit around the cemetery like the historical mosque nearby and ancient pool for the prince and princess.

Very nice surprise! Almost an honor to be able to greet the founder of the Mataram kingdom so closely. A place filled with serenity and mysticism.
