A unique wonder of nature that you simply must see if you are in this part of Serbia, although it is worth coming to visit on purpose. My suggestion is to spend a few days in Prolom Banja or Lukovska Banja, from where excursions to the Devil's Town are organized.
The kind hosts will meet all your requirements, the only obligation for the guests is to respect the natural cycle in which they are.

At the entrance (or when leaving the complex) you can buy unique souvenirs.

The Đavolja Varoš complex is probably one of the most interesting natural sightseeing places in Serbia. The rocky formations which have been created by the nature itself for centuries and milleniums is simply astonishing. One wonders how these unusual natural objects were created and hidden from the eyes of the common people. Now that it's open to public, you should definitly visit this amazing natural complex. All recommendations!

Devil's Town (Diavola Varosh) is a natural landmark of Serbia N1. A good road leads to it. However, one must be very careful when using Google maps. Google maps offers the shortest option, which leads to a dead end along a rocky narrow and long road. This is no way. It is better to use Maps.me here.

It's very beautiful landscape, it was worth it. It is just so strange landscape whit rock caps on it, and I really liked it. I strongly recomend you to visit this place.

Davolja Varos (Devil's Town, in Serbian) are a complex of natural rock formations, which are incredible. It is located in Southern Serbia and really it is in an isolated land, which has bad roads.
We came here at morning of a October's day of the last year and we stayed alone in the place. We walked around all formations, see them, and obviously took a lot of photos. Rock formations seems a houses of amaginary people, so I supose for this reason the name is Varos (town). Great place to visit, we did not expect it. Take care with roads.

If you are in Southern Serbia then I would like to recommend you visit Devil's Town. These towering rock formations have been created by erosion and are stunning. The walk through the forest is interesting and the views from the high vantage / viewing area are impressive.

Very interesting place
I recommend it
Beautiful nature.
The road to the top is well prepared. Even in August at 35Cdeg air temperatures a walk through the forest is not very bothersome and the final view rewards the effort.

Fantastic site and great escape from city bustle.
There is a restaurant in the natural shade near water (red spring) for a perfect break on a hot summer day.
Can be reached by car, with large parking area and souvenir shops in front of the entrance.

Such a unique experience, to visit and see this amazing rock formations, for which locals are connecting various legends. Nature lovers will enjoy in magnificent unrealistic mother earth creation. Picture lovers can create some amazing photos, specially during night when it is lighted by various colors. Hospital and friendly people working over there are willing to help you with any info you need about Devils town or accommodation in near by Prolom spa.

This wasn't something we had planned on our trip to Serbia but Devil's Town was recommended by locals and glad we went! Be prepared to do some walking and stair climbing! A new overlook was being constructed while we were there and it was interesting to watch the guys CARRY the wood up all of those stairs! Great, scenery and you sit there and wonder "how did these get here?". The statue artwork was cool!
