Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A Chinese temple located on the circular road south of Lamai beach. The statue of Guan Yu is impressive and definitely worth checking out.
There’s not much public transportation in Ko Samui so I recommend hiring a car or motorbike to get there.

Beautiful tribute to this 1st century general and leader I. Ancient China. Great philosophy on life and happiness. This doesn’t take a lot of time and we’ll worth the stop. Admission is free!

Big statue, unfortunately before it there is a car parking place and some small restaurants. If it's on your way stop here, but it not a must.

What an great start to viewing temples in Thailand Koh Samui.

Really enjoyed the site and also the food around it. You would be 5mins away from Lamai where most bars etc are and around 14mins away from Chewag the main city.

Beautifully made and a great place to go during the day in Koh Samui.

Whilst on a tour we stopped here for a look, as it simply comes out of no where and you are back in Chinatown.

Good noodles place as you would expect, so worth a vist if you are near or passing for lunch.

We enjoyed our timeout to just soak in the culture and the fabulous view. It was great to be able to donate to the cause and receive a peaceful blessing from the local monk.

This shrine is located at the souther end of Koh Samui near Lamai Beach. Guan Yu was a Chinese military general in ancient times who was very well known for not only his bravery but also for his righteousness. He is worshipped all over by Chinese people. He is also popularly known as God of War. One can spend few minutes over here.

We drove past this statue and it was huge and I remember every detail of it even though we drove past it and I could only see it for a few seconds. Great place to go,
but not for a long time.
