Worth a visit if in the area
Sep 2021
Nice old church to have a look inside. No photos allowed inside but the exterior is definitely worth taking a photo or two. It’s in a square with a couple of bars where we had a drink while locals were playing backgammon.
Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Excellent Inside
Mar 2020
Get the 606 bus from Pafos bus station & don't get too worried as the bus goes on a weird route. Get off in the centre of Geroskipou & the church is there. Go inside. Walk round Geriskipou & visit the souvenir shops. Walk west towards Pafos on the main road & after about 1mile you will find the Debenhams shopping mall at the big roundabout. Worth a visit. Beware buses are rare in this area. Check timetable.

Cyprus holiday
Oct 2019 • Couples
My wife and I went to the church as we had heard how beautiful it was, when we got there it was shut. We were in Cyprus for a wedding as well as a holiday. The next day we went to the wedding by coach as the venue was secret and low and behold we pulled up out side the church. What a lovely setting for a wedding and the reception was just across the road. Wonderful church, wonderful wedding, wonderful venue across the road

Loved going to this lovely church. So much history to look at. We actually went a coupe of times. As was very busy. You can get lovely photos inside and out.

Attractive church
May 2019 • Couples
Open for all to enter at no charge but opportunity to leave a donation. Many icon panels to see. A place of quiet prayer and reflection also a tourist spot. Located right in the centre square of Yeroskipou.

Fantastic historical church that is very atmospheric, a nice place for contemplating. Visit first thing in the morning when it's still quiet and cool.

A Truly Distressing Experience
Mar 2019
This church was built in the 9th Century and is stunning, having been beautifully restored with wonderful paintings and frescos.
However, my experience was marred by the predatory behaviour of the man who unlocked the church and I presume was the guide or curate. As I am pursuing a complaint against him, I will not describe events in detail, suffice to say that he approached me - initially it appeared to be in his role as a guide - to explain and highlight various paintings. However, this was clearly an excuse as he touched my breast on two separate occasions. The first time I was unsure if it was a mistake, although he did not apologise, however the second time he told me I was beautiful, ran his hand down my back and touched my breast again. I am an assertive professional in my 50s, however, I was very shaken, felt completely disempowered and left the church.
It would be a shame to miss visiting this church from a historical viewpoint (Ironically the church is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi who was a strong and devout lady and is also the patron Saint of the town) but I cannot recommend it while the church continues to employ this abusive man.
