Absolute fantastic day out with my boys (4 & nearly 3) loads to do even with a few showers. Spent nearly 5 hours there so great value for money. Kids loved feeding the animals and seeing them all. Loads of play areas to keep them busy 2. Staff were so helpful and friendly . Had a lovely lunch in the cafe.

Pros:
Animal feeding
Animal handling
The go-karts
The wooden sledge run
Several playgrounds
Cons:
Go-karts and sledge - not enough items when busy
This is a great day out for families with young kids. Ours was 4 when we visited and loved every second of the day. They didn’t want to leave (we spent around 5 hours here).
The animals are the standard type of animals you’d expect to see at a farm. But most young kids love animals, so it’s not an issue. Handling the chicks and guineapigs is fun for the kids too.
There are several playgrounds, all outdoor except for two. Plenty of slides and things to climb on. But the main attractions for our child was the peddle go karts and the wooden sledge ride. As the place was quiet during term time in May, he could have as many goes as he wanted on them. And he loved that. These two attractions are what he spent most of his time on. My concern for weekends or school holidays is that it may be busy and you’d have to queue for these two attractions. So if you can go during term time - do so!
There’s a cafe here. The choice of food is decent enough. Potatoes, sandwiches, toasties, burgers etc. They do options for kids too, with reasonably priced packs available. Ours loved this.
The farm also allows people to bring their own food. This is a nice touch as not all places allow this. And to help there’s a sheltered picnic area outside. Perfect.
Overall, a great spot for young families. Our child said this was the best place we’d been all week, and slept all the way home after being non-stop all day.
Highly recommended.

Cracking place to take the kids for a fun filled day.
Very well laid out, plenty of space and didn't feel crowded or rushed. Kids indoor and outdoor play areas are great.
Go-karts and Toboggans are a great addition, although personally I think there should be more than 3 toboggans as it was a bit of a free for all with a few children not sharing.
Food from the cafe was adequate, kids lunch bags are OK for the money although we'd take a pack lunch if we went back.
Certainly worth a visit and easily a place to spend a full day.

A really fab, spacious family day out at an excellent price. We couldn’t believe how much they was to keep the kids entertained and even on a bank holiday it didn’t feel cramped or as though we were trying to keep out of peoples way.

I’m an age where any day out with kids is usually an expensive affair I thought this place was excellent value for money and we spent most of the day there.
It certainly offered something different for the kids which they enjoyed mainly the Straw Barn which was a simple idea of allowing kids to climb on hay bails but ours loved it.
Cafe was decent food and not a rip off which a lot can be when they know they’ve got a captive audience.

My score would have been much higher if it wasn’t for the food offering. The prices are truly shocking. £7.25 for a burger (no chips), £4.60 for a cheese toastie. Definitely take your own picnic BUT there isn’t anywhere warm to eat it. Otherwise this place is great, enough to fill a full day!

What a fantastic place for families!
We visited this week with our 5 and 6 year old boys, who absolutely loved it.
They loved diving around in the hay barn, feeding the animals, holding a baby chic, outdoor sledging, the pedal go karts and both the outdoor and indoor park.
The staff are very friendly and the whole place is lovely and clean.
We wish we had arrived earlier as we ran out of time and the boys didn't want to leave, despite being there for 4 hours.
Excellent value for money and will definitely be returning a few times during our August holiday in that area.
Many thanks for a lovely day 😊

We have had a fun filled day at playdale farm. We have spent to whole day, having lots of fun in all the different play equipment, feeding the animals and in the sandpit. The kids loved it there was so much to do. Kids age 3 and 2.
Would highly recommend. Brilliant value for money.

Can you take your own food on to the premises?

Yes you can. You’re only allowed to eat your own food outside, but they have a really good under cover picnic area.

Seamer is the nearest railway station. There’s no taxi rank so you would have to pre order one - it’s about 3 miles to Playdale farm
