We have been here a few times over the years and we never fail to be amazed at the craftsmanship that goes into making the lamps etc. There are lamps of all sizes from table lamps to standard lamps and some in between. We always buy something here and this time was no exception, we bought a clock made of... More

Lovely location surrounded by the Yorkshire countryside, and a must place to visit for anyone interested in art glass works. The displays of high class glass art works are stunning, and if you are interested in trying your hand at this type of work you can sign up to one of the courses available at the centre. B&B accommodation is available... More

This was our second visit to the Stained Glass Centre and I have to say that on this occasion we left somewhat disappointed .The beautiful glass earrings that my wife purchased on our previous visit are no longer produced . The light switch surrounds that we also purchased before seemed to be non existent . The products on display are... More

Fully stocked up on switch surrounds this week! We have a hard time keeping up with demand, especially at this busy time of year. Sorry that we were a little sparse on the ground, the earrings are next on Emma's list when she gets back from her well deserved week off. And of course we will always take orders for... More

Visited the centre whilst on holiday, or actually, wanted to. We have a Yorkie who is 14 and very poorly. She spends her time in her pram. When asked if we could bring her in, in the pram, for us to have a look round, we were refused point blank. Never looked at her in the pram, did not want... More

I am sorry that you were disappointed that you were unable to bring a dog into the stained glass centre, however we do state on the door that dogs are welcome in the garden, however we only allow assistance dogs inside. This is our policy and one that we kindly ask all our customers to respect. We do allow Prams,... More

The Stained Glass centre is very inspiring with such talent on display through the range of glass products available. The centre keeps expanding, with a new workshop/teaching space and an extended cafe area (with great cakes!) , still leading out onto the peaceful, beautiful gardens. I was also amazed to hear that the centre is now off-grid for all utilities,... More

Didn't visit the cafe, just the shop today. The lady actually makes a lot of the goods on sale and was just gorgeous with my daughter, making her feel very special and making the purchase of a bracelet an experience I think my little girl will remember for a long time. We also bought a lamp which I just adore.

Was taken by my daughter to a 'surprise left' party yesterday. The staff had arranged the tables for 13 of us to seat together and away but not isolated from the rest of the cafe. The staff were beyond excellent, bringing tea and coffee continually, the food was excellent and more than enough for everyone, infact we were given 2... More

I recommend this place for a local visitors attraction cause it's quite amazing and i would say that the cafe is also quite cheap and cheerful and it could be a good place for rain or shine, The shop is quite amazing too especially the bracelets you can buy.

If you visit you need to do a workshop. Although you can just visit the shop and tea room, which are both great and not ridiculously priced, it was the work shop that really made this a great visit. We made a fused glass decoration and both me and three children were transfixed for two hours. You learn about glass... More
