Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I need to say first that there is NO INTERNET in this area. If you intend to go by taxi via Yandex, you will not be able to summon a return ride. We learned the hard way. We walked nearly an hour down the mountain and lucked out to find a public bus at the entrance to the park. So, make sure to arrange your return ride in advance! That said, it was a beautiful park and stunning views, especially in October. However, be advised that the "easy" part of the Butakovsky waterfall trail stops at the bridge river crossing, where it turns into a much higher level of difficulty. Definitely would want hiking boots and a walking stick. The trail after the bridge is essentially a rock-lined path for 600 m through a tiny stream, making the rocks slick.

This place is absolutely amazing and well worth a visit. It's situated only approximately 30 minutes from the city, easy to locate and hard to get lost in.
there is a steady climb of a couple kilometres into the mountains and then a very rough couple kilometres through boulders and stinging nettle. I would highly recommend making sure you wear really good footwear long pants and maybe even bring a long shirt with you.
The climb can be a little bit difficult especially if you're not used to the air and altitude so make sure to take breaks.
If you're game make sure to jump under the waterfall it's an amazing experience....

This hike was VERY HARD!!! This is NOT a leisurely stroll up the mountain to a waterfall! There are parts that have NO handrails or stairs whatsoever! This is for more advanced hikers, indeed! The first half of the hike from the Base Camp (with the wooden statue of the seated Kazakh Man) is not so bad but once you cross the big mountain stream about halfway to the waterfall, it gets REALLY TREACHEROUS very quickly! The trail starts going up steeply and becomes extremely rocky and muddy! My shoes got soaked and dirty. Definitely wear heavy duty hiking boots instead NIKES like I did! My shoes were ruined by the end of the hike! We even took our four year old son with us. NOT ADVISABLE. He almost fell down many times and I had to catch him while we scrambled over the rocks. However, with all this said, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous in the summer. We went yesterday on June 5, 2022. Nice and warm, but very chilly and cool up at the waterfall. Yes, we actually made it there in one piece! The waterfall was absolutely gorgeous. However, after going there we had to hike ALL THE WAY BACK! There is NO SHUTTLE BUS taking you back like the mountains in China!!!! This hike is definitely for more experienced hikers.

Its a waterfall, about 20m high. Thats it. A walk for about half ann hour from the roadhead gets you there. It can be crowded at busy summer weekends. Its OK for a Sunday outing, but nothing too exciting.

Majestic waterfall but not an easy hike. Go early in the morning to avoid local crowds. Wear hiking boots and long pants.
