The best experience. Our capitan Milo was just amazing, he looked after us very well. I took my mum, father and my sister. My mum was a little bit sceptical but after 5min she calmed down and enjoyed the ride. It was supposed to be a very gentle cruise ride but when he saw that everyone is enjoying he kicked the engine a bit.
So in the end we had 2 in 1. Beautiful long ride plus a bit of blast.

This is a great experience, lots of attention paid to safety but very exciting once on the water. I've been twice this summer and both times the sea was very calm so the skipper created waves and turbulence to make the ride even more exciting. It's also a great way to see the Jurassic coast and the alarming number of cliff falls. Brilliant fun for adults and children of all ages.

The views were amazing during our 30 minute coastal cruise.

As a regular visitor to West Bay with my husband and adult children we’d always looked at doing the boat trip with Lyme Bay Rib Charter but never got round to it. Last week whilst on a short trip to West Bay we finally did the half hour Jurassic coastline boat trip and it was absolutely fantastic! Comfortable rib with very knowledgeable and professional staff. The narrative was spot on and the scenic views of west bay, Eype, char mouth and then other way to freshwater, burton Brad stock and Christ beach - all viewed from the sea were amazing! We were blessed with a warm sunny day and fairly calm sea. My and my family highly recommend the Lyme bay rib charter boat trips and our only regret is we didn’t do it sooner! Thank you so much to all the crew.

We chartered a RIB for the afternoon for a hen party, and we had the most amazing time! Our skipper (I’m really sorry I forgot your name) and his son were INCREDIBLE! He had made an effort to put banners up for the bride, a thoughtful, personal touch! He was funny and he did exactly what we asked for! The whole experience was amazing and this is down to our skipper! Thank you so so much!
Would HIGHLY recommend these guys, was a smooth process from start to finish.

We went on the 3.30pm coastal cruise as far as Seatown where we could see the land slide and could see down to Lyme Regis and beyond. The sea was calm and beautiful' Skipper Toby gave us a few facts about the area and we headed back towards Burton Bradstock. We have been on the boats many times on different rides and always enjoy the trips. Always feel safe and looked after as a passenger.

Fantastic experience on the sunset cruise, wonderful views of the Jurassic coast all the way to Lyme Regis and back.
Their attention to safety is exemplary and if you have someone who feels seasick we had one of our party who often gets seasick but loved it and felt absolutely fine as the rib sort of glides over the surface.
Very exhilarating though and enough thrills for those of us who like speed!
Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I’m thinking of taking my 2 children on my own (6 and 9) is this fast? Would it be suitable?

They offered 2 trips, one at high speed one a little slower, the fast one wasnt too rough or bouncy but the sea was flat. Personally i would opt for the slower one as you may well get thrown around on the fast one.

Hi, I'm very sorry but I can't answer that. I would check with the operator. They were brilliant in returning calls and general availability for communications.
It may depend on the tour and boat type but the RIB we went out in had padded pods to sit on, two to a pod. I don't see where a dog could safely sit.
But that is only my opinion so do check as if you can have your best friend with you how great would that be.
I hope you both make it out.
Since my last review we've booked again for August. That's how impressed we were with them (Lyme Bay Rib tours).

Milo here from Lyme Bay RIB Charter.
The minimum age we can take is 5 years old providing the sea state is flat calm.
We then raise this as the sea state increases.
This is done to protect young children from an increased injury risk and also to ensure they are not scared.

We are running daily through the Easter Hols. After that, we usually stop until Mayday but as it's only a week after we will possibly just go straight through until the end of September!

Hi. We can operate all year, but the reality is that the weather is likely to be against us in the winter months.
The quayside trips run April-September and the RIBs are availability to charter all year.
