    Winter Wonderland
We visited last night for the Winter Wonderland and had a lovely time! The lights was fantastic and the finale at the end was equally as good. The elf’s on the way round did a brilliant job engaging with the kids and we loved the walk around the beautiful house! We thoroughly enjoyed our night! Our only gripe was the price of the marshmallows that you could toast on the little fire. 2 pound each!! A ridiculous amount. We brought home a free bag of reindeer food though and some lasting memories! Thank you Sewerby Hall

    Not worth £15
Came here for Winter Wonderland 2022 21.12.2022. And wasn’t particularly that impressed. Not worth £15 at all, very average and very limited lights. Light show was short lived especially when waiting double the time for it to start. Food and drinks were a little too expensive. Enjoyed it but expected a little more for £15.

Lack of facilities on New Years Day
Disappointed that on New Years Day the cafe was closed, but worse that the toilets were all locked. This made life incredibly difficult with a baby who needed a nappy change as there was no access to any facilities, meaning we had to change her on a bench. Also had to breastfeed outside in the cold as there was no inside shelter- could've left the cafe marquee open for example, even if the cafe was closed. Disappointed as love a walk around the grounds and zoo!

    Well worth a visit.
Visited on a cold, foggy day in February half term. Free parking. It was busy with locals and tourists. We walked around some of the grounds and it was lovely to see wood carvings, fairy doors, trails and lots of interesting bits hidden around the walkways (good for pushchairs and wheelchairs). Lots of work going on including a new adventure playground being built. We visited the house and enjoyed the videos which helped us to envisage life in the house. The café was busy with a fair sized queue so we didn’t eat there but the food looked great. The little zoo was worth the little bit extra on the house entry ticket. It made us wish our grown up children were little again because they’d have loved spending the day here. You could park, visit the grounds and use the picnic facilities, toilets and playgrounds for free if you’re on a tight budget. It’s clean, very reasonably priced, interesting, well maintained, with helpful staff and lots of effort going into keeping this Hall a lovely place to visit.

    Worth seeing.
Really enjoyed our visit. The small but very well laid out mini zoo was really worth a visit, particularly at the feeding times. The Hall was also very interesting with lots for children to do. Staff were also on hand to answer any questions. The gardens, again, were well worth seeing. The admission price was £9 per adult [no concessions] but covered everything. Good value!

    Relaxing atmosphere
The gardens are beautiful. There is a zoo some penguins and some other animals from other parts of the world. But like a farm with pigs and goats. The cafes are reasonably priced. There was a hogroast seller there burgers and sausages at a good price. Plenty of space for kids to run around the gardens. Pushchairs aren't allowed in the house. Toilets and hand washing station to wash hands after touching animals. Very reasonable price to get in.

    Wonderful hotel - Amazing staff
Spent a lovely day at Sewerby Hall and Gardens with my husband and Grandchildren (Aged 10 and 13). The Hall was lovely Our Grandchildren loved the little Easter Quiz in the house. It kept them entertained. They also sat and watched the Amy Johnson film which they enjoyed, as well as the little room where they could dress up. The gardens were very well kept. The mini zoo was really worth a visit. The food in the Clocktower Cafe was very good. It was very busy but the staff were very efficient, friendly and very organised On the whole it was a lovely day and Sun was shining.

Amazing Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Really worth visiting.
We took the land train from Bridlington (leisure centre) along the coastal route to Sewerby Hall and Gardens. The gardens are very pleasant and the hall well worth visiting. We had lunch at The cafe which was excellent and good value for money.

Expensive to get in, beautiful garden's.
Sewerby Gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. My sister and me took my grandson for the fist time on Sunday, I have to say that I found ut expensive to get in, we had to pay 7.50 for my grandson who is just 3 years old which is absolutely ridiculous. It's a shame the council are so greedy as I am sure more people would visit if the prices were cheaper.

    Superb exhibition
Superb Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Friendly staff and lovely gardens. Cafe was reasonably priced and had some milk free options including an excellent flapjack. Parking was free. Adult admission was £9 and carafes go free (disability/career proof has to be shown.)

Planned to call in at the cafe at Sewerby Hall as part of our circular walk from Flamborough. Very disappointed to learn that, although the cafe was open, there was no access unless you bought a £10 per person admission ticket. Thinking that £20 plus the cost of the tea and cake was a little steep we, instead, went to an excellent little snack shack 5 mins away.
Appreciate that Sewerby Hall wish to maximise revenue, however in this particular case it seems a little counterproductive.
I understand that this may have something to do with it being half-term week, however, couldn’t they have a process to allow cafe access without an admission ticket?

Bit of a difficult review to write for me because I absolutely love Sewerby hall and gardens when visiting the area ,so can’t fault it for a day out in the summer or an Autumn stroll round the garden , but I want to be specific on the Halloween spectacular Scareween , cost me £45 for 2 adults and 1 x12 year old , what an absolute waste of money , 20 minutes listening to actors dressed up scream in your face to make you jump and that was it , very disappointed and wondering if I have done the right thing booking there winter wonderland ( and hotel ) as we arnt from the area
Didn’t bother with the cafe which is an ok place for cuppa as a rule but did pay a further £5 each to have our tarot cards read which was 100% more entertaining and lasted longer than the Halloween show( for want of a better description)

I didn’t think much of the experience at all if I’m honest. £15 per head and it was over it 10 mins. Acting was quite poor for the most part. Didn’t get the made up story and the whole thing just seemed rushed. You think you’re just getting started and you literally get shown the exit.. I asked what was next and was told “the cafe if you want or go home. Not worth the money unfortunately in my opinion.

The most botanical and historical filled gardens we’ve visited, staff were so friendly and welcoming and we were lucky enough to visit during the LEGO exhibition

Interesting place but I thought I would try the Belltower Cafe for a light lunch. So I joined a queue of about 15 people but after 10-15 minutes it had hardly moved. Plenty of staff milling around but only ONE on the till. So I gave up and left.

What a fantastic place to visit. Excellent value for money, staff are welcoming/informative and friendly.

There is so much to see and do. The hall was very interesting, the zoo animals and birds were excellent and were clearly well cared for. We found the cafe was excellent value for money and the soup was delicious!

You can explore the walled gardens which were lovely and the brick animal installations were amazing. There are also the cliff top and woodland walks to explore…..all adding up to a full and fab day out.

We will definitely be returning on a regular basis and exploring this wonderful place further.

Bricklive- lego exhibition
Amazing sculptures of lego, some photos attached. There are lots mor sculptures,
which are randomly placed and you explore the grounds to find them. Once you see them you can hear the excited voices. A great day, everyone smiling and talking to each other. Ticket price also included access to zoo and house (parking free). Once there you can also access the beach
Well done to all involved
