We walk the beach often and let the kids run the beach often. The walk out into the ocean floor is cool if you're not from an ocean area. We found it particularly cool in the winter... when the weather is frozen but not windy,...More

Absolutely stunning. Research tide timing and plan accordingly. If you go when the tide is out, you can take an amazing, endless walk along the ocean floor down on the beach, looking up at the cliffs. If you dont catch the right time of day...More

We have been to the park on other visits to Nova Scotia, and looking over the cliffs truly is remarkable. This time, however, we saw them in a completely different way. Rather than driving to the Provincial Park, we took the road going to the...More

Staying in Halifax, we wanted to experience the best of The Bay of Fundy. We saw an on-line video of the Blomidon experience, so we wanted to tie it into our trip. We picked the day when the tides were low in the morning. Our...More

Blomindon Provincial Park closes mid-September thru May 20- a chain blocks the park entry gates. However guests arriving later in the fall still have access to the "pre-park" area which contains picnic tables and benches which overlook the Minas Basin. Best of all, there is...More

A beautiful place to walk on the sea floor at low tides (obviously!). I suggest you start at a lower point and walk northwards.

The Entrance into the park was closed as of Mid-Seprember. You can still access the parking lot at the park entrance. This allows access to two levels for picnicking. Access to trails on the far side of the parking lot near the garbage/recycling containers. Access...More

We parked in the lot in front of the entrance to the park (which was closed on a mid-September weekend). Walked through a small park and took the stairs down to the beach at mid-tide. Wonderful view and the red cliffs were stunning. We then...More

As someone who grew up in NS i had never been here. Wow I had kissed out all of those years. First off check the tide times. It's best to go at low tide. Make sure the tide is going out and won't be coming...More

Blomidon is a beautiful beach and park - no restaurant there. There may be a restaurant on the Look-Off above the park... not sure. And... not sure how many it would seat (if that is what you are asking). Cheers!
