What a beautiful little gem in the middle of the suburbs. It's a great place to walk around and breathe in the scents of nature, and see the wonderful little shady nooks underneath the canopy of trees. Lovely to walk, excellent to sit and picnic....More

The treasure cove of Kloof. This nature reserve is a delight to visit - a variety of hikes, picnic spots, viewpoints, forests vs grassland, spectacular views. The newly renovated interpretive centre is cosy but requires better comms signal to make the venue more user-friendly for...More

It is in Kloof, not Pinetown. Very atmospheric jungle type experience. It used to be inhabited by leopards whose natural prey was the monkeys that frequent the gorge. Monkeys still abound but beware of nakes.

Went on a lovely trail run in Krantzkloof. We went to the Nkonka Crack. The view from the top was stunning. We could see the whole gorge.

During summer this is one the best hikes in Durban. Under a canopy of green with sounds of water gushing this is a straight hike until you decide to walk down the gorge. The return is not for the faint hearted. Bit tricky for small...More

Lovely morning out, beautiful scenery but please make sure you have no issues walking and climbing as it is a hike. If you are in KZN whether staying here or passing through, this place is a gem.

I've enjoyed Krantzkloof most on Saturday mornings. We usually go on the Yellow trail hike, its about 45mins long and not too steep plus it leads to the waterfall! There is a picnic site available and ample parking space. A fee of about ZAR25 -...More

This nature reserve is so close to Durban yet so amazing. With a variety of hikes on offer there is something for everyone. Try to avoid swimming in the water or drinking from the falls. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy either on the hike...More

This is a well maintained Nature Reserve with interesting scarp forest and grassland. There are guided walks lead by honoury Parks Board officers on the first and third Sunday morning every month. Good for bird lovers, with an easy to view crowned eagle nest. Attractive...More
