Fantastic view but challenging drive
Oct 2020 • Family
We were worried about driving up to the Molitva lookout after reading reviews of how difficult the drive is. However because we could not find a tour operator that would take us there, we gave it a go anyway.

The 6km unpaved road was in varying bad conditions. Most of it was just gravel with big potholes, but there are sections which are really bad where we almost gave up. It was a sunny day when we went up, so after a rainy day I would not go up there with a regular car, as it would be much worse. However, the road is now clearly marked with signs to the viewpoint.

The path from the parking lot to the platform is not very well marked and can be quite challenging at times. The view is fantastic though and totally worth it.

Great views
Oct 2020
We spent 4 hours on this trip. you can go to lookout point by boat cruise, you can find on google. the boat cruise was fine, but not so interesting, what is definitely interesting, is to climb to the lookout point for this interesting river Uvac, but be ready to climb about 30 -40 minutes, something like 1 km length on rocks . but it worth it, the views are awesome , also you can see white eagles

Great day in Uvac
Aug 2020
We spent a very nice cruise over Uvac Lake and finished it with the climb over the lake and the meander of Uvac, which was a very nice, but demanding experience. It was great to see the birds in their habitat.

Uvac special Nature Reserve is No 1 view of my personal comment, You can see the green mountain and lake waters under the bright sunshine, you can book the boat to the top of the mountain and see the eagle flying, recommended views to visit in Serbia.

One of the most beatiful place in Serbia
Jul 2020 • Couples
Even if it's not really good weather, this is activity that everybody should experience. It's hard to describe and also hard to see from picture how everything is beatiful here. My opinion is you need do feel and experience this place, it's completely different from photos and stories. Fresh air, beatiful look, rare birds you can see during boat driving, and finally - magnificent view.

Wonderful! Great meanders of Uvac River!
Oct 2019 • Friends
Uvac Special Nature Reserve is a natural place located near Novi Pazar, in Western Serbia. Really, it is a wonderful place, and there are two lookouts, from where you can see great views of the Uvac River and their meanders: a fantastic place. Also, it is possible to walk around the lookouts and see different views of the river.
We came here in October-2019, when the river does not have too much water, so it was not the most beautiful views of the river, but there were wonderful! In spring or summer should be marvelous!

Simply a jewel
Jun 2019
Our visit had all we could wish for: boat trip through serpentine shaped lake, with view on rare birds nesting on cliffs above us, then hiking to top of hill for amazing view, entering a cave and swimming in shallow part of lake followed with traditional food at local household.

One of the most beautiful and unique natural reserves in Serbia
Jul 2019
We were planning to travel to Uvac every time we saw a photo with the curving meanders of the river... and this August we finally visited this national park on a day tour from Belgrade, Serbia. There are number of tours available, ours included visit to the Uvac lookout, the boat ride to the Ice Cave and entry into the cave. This day tour was a fast pace action packed tour and we would have preferred to spend there at least 2 days. The nearest town to the canyon Uvac is Senica and the accommodation can be found there it you decide to stay.

The Uvac reserve is a green jewel of Serbia and it became protected area in 1994. This is where the Eurasian Griffon (Gyps fulvus) lives. The Uvac lookout is the best place to see griffons. They are big birds weighing between 6-13 kg with a wingspan of 230-280 cm. They have a bald head and a white neck. Some believe the bird on the coat of arms of medieval Serbia is a griffin, not the eagle because of griffin’s white colour. The Uvac reserve is a sacred area where the white griffons were saved from extinction. Since 1994 due to strict protective laws some eagle species returned to this territory. This is untouched nature rich with birds, fish and animals. The Uvac canyon is 1322 m deep and it is surrounded by 5 mountains.

The cannon is place of quiet, serenity and untouched nature. The time stops here. I wish we could stay longer on the top of the canyon near the lookout as the view is superb.
From the highest peak of the mountain lookout we were then transported to the lowest point of the canyon where the river boats were located. The boat ride lasted for about 30min each direction and then we arrived to the Ice Cave. It’s name comes from the fact that it never gets warmer then 8 C even in the peak of the summer. The Ice Cave has about 10 rooms and it is very spacious with high ceiling. Only some rooms can be visited on a tour.
Having a cardigan or a jacket while you were inside of the cave would be very useful. The other useful thing would be to bring a strong light if you plan to take the photos as this cave does not have any artificial lighting.

Beautiful but not jaw dropping
Sep 2019
A pleasant boat ride on the river, could see herons and some vultures way up high. Uvac Cave - supposedly one of the THE places to see but I found this somewhat underwhelming as there are plenty of caves elsewhere that are better presented and have more impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations. The walk in the cave is quite dodgy, the climb to the entrance and then inside which can be very slippery and you definitely need torches as it's very dark. Wear very sturdy shoes. All very anti-climatic.

Must see in Serbia

Amazing landscape, nice boat tour and a great escape from the city’s and hard past. This is a great opportunity to speak with a local guide who is more than happy to talk about this country. Highly recommend.
