    Swaymbhu idol of Lord Shani
This temple of Lord Shani at Shingnapur is around 75 km from Shirdi town. Many taxi drivers may approach you when you go or come from the Samadhi mandir in Shirdi. During March-23, the return taxi fare with AC was quoted at Rs. 2000/- in Swift Dezire. 3 to 3.5 hours are required for the return trip. Keep your footwares in the taxi and walk barefoot with oil from there. If you want to pour the oil directly on the idol, then you have to pay Rs. 500 at the counter near the idol. Otherwise, you may give the oil to somebody who is already in line by paying Rs. 500. Otherwise, you pour the oil into the shaft, which leads to the top of the idol. After Darshan, have Prasad from the counter.

    Shani Shingnapur
Reached Shani Shinganpur from shirdi by shared private bus (Charged Rs 200/- both ways). Don't need of Puja Thali, most of the materials are not used inside the temple, get few flowrers, and a small bottle of Teel oil, and payment of Rs 500/- for pouring the oil directly on the idol. One can get MSRTC bus or shared taxis, autos, private buses and cabs from Shirdi at anytime. Also, one can reach Shani Shingnapur from Sambhajinagar via Ghodegaon (6 km from shani shingnapur) by MSRTC buses.

Well managed Temple but beware of touts outside
The temple itself is beautiful and will be worth the trip. However do not take the offerings from outside the temple. You will be forced to park your vehicle in front of shops and then force you to buy a bowl of offerings for Rs 1500 per person plus Rs 500 as pandit fees for doing some mantras and not to mention the beggars when follow you un-relentlessly. Please wise and avoid the touts and make the best of your visit to this beautiful temple.

Beware of touts at the entrance of town
Govt must take strict action against the touts blocking the road and selling the pooja thali 10 times more then the actual price. I was stopped and forced to buy the thali but I didn't buy. One person came and told remove the car from parking slot bcz I didn't buy anything same person earlier told me that this is free govt parking. Then he forced me to buy oil at MRP200.00. When I reached at temple parking I found same oil bottle was sold at Rs.100 and pooja thali at Rs.50.00 which they are selling at Rs.550.00. So please park ur car in temple parking slot and buy oil from stoes next to temple.

Good place to go but commercialisation has hit everywhere so just be mindful of that
The way to Shani Shingnapur is quite good, we drove after doing the Shirdi Darshan and checking out from hotel. It is very close to Shirdi. There will be lot of touts standing blocking the road asking you to park your car in a shade near their shops, please DO NOT STOP and par there. Keep driving and go to government parking which is in the temple compound. We did not know what all to do but being Shani mandir, we knew we have to take mustard oil. We took a basket from outside temple with all prayer things but you need to keep all of those in baskets outside the main temple, so NO POINT in buying those, just carry a bottle of oil. The main area where the oil has to be put on god has again an entry fee of 500 per person if you want to put oil directly over god else you can do so in a tank in front of the statue. Then you move out. If you go in summers, try sugarcan juice on the way, very re freshing.

Worst experience EVER, me and my wife went there by car and just as we were to approach the mandir two guys were standing right in the middle of the street I immediately smelled something fishy and did not stop the car, he immediately got on his bike and started chasing us. I thought I should ask him what’s his problem, he started telling me about the free parking and started guiding me towards it, being a new person there I was not sure about the SCAMS these guys did to innocent people. I asked him about the temple parking, he said there is “corona system” and I should park where he said as it was free. I thought fine and I parked my car, now the second person comes into plan, he started telling us remove all leather items etc. and guided us to a shop to buy the pooja thali, the person there immediately started the process, there are so good at fooling people they will not give you a minute to think. I thought fine maybe the pooja thali is for 100-200, so I ignored, he chanted one mantra and told us the thali was for 870 rupees I was stunned, and the worst part is that looser was suggesting my wife to get one, we said we are together why should we have two. After getting fooled from there he took us to adjacent shop where the oil rates are ridiculous 120 for half a litre of oil and he gave us some metal chip like which was for 20 rupees each and he handed us a bunch of them. We took darshan and came back now was the time to pay, 870 was already decided and somehow this moron was not satisfied enough so he asked for 50 rupees as his fees, so that was 920 and the oil shopkeeper as me for a whooping 400 rupees. I felt terrible falling for this whole trap and loosing my hard earned money to these goons who are looting people shamelessly in the name of GOD.
ADVICE: Do not fall for anyone who comes to you providing you a free parking. The temple parking is just opposite to the temple just go there directly. Do not buy anything, I would suggest not even buying oil, because it will not even reach the god and will be filled in drums and resold. And you don’t need money to impress the lord, he loves everyone, rich or poor, all are equal. Hopefully my review will save someone from this trap.

We traveled to Shani temple after visiting Shirdi. Our car driver parked the car at a place outside Shani Temple as it was offered as a free parking spot. There was a guy who had Pooja baskets. At first, we wanted to directly visit the Shani temple. However, we went near to the stall and the person started telling things about the Pooja. In five minutes, he charged Rs 7000 for two baskets and Pooja without us realising it. Anyway, we had to pay the amount. Hence, please beware of such crooks who are looting the visitors. You can get a basket from any shop and do Pooja by yourself. We really had bad experience!

I visited Shani Shingnapur on 8th March 2020 by car. I was not very sure about the parking facility there. There is a big parking place by the name " Temple Parking" besides a few private parking places. This Temple Parking place is quite big. They charge Rs. 20 for parking. The Temple parking is just opposite the main entrance to the temple. One can park and then cross the road to enter the temple. At the entrance to the temple there is a free shoe stand also. Hence tourists need not keep their shoes in the car .
Morning hours are relatively less crowded at the temple. One does not have to stand in queue during fore-noon hours to enter the temple. There is a shop inside the temple which sells oil. So no need to buy oil from outside shops.

Visited this temple on Saturday late evening from Aurangabad. Approx 2 hours. Reached at 8:30 PM and were through by 9. Reached back Aurangabad at 11 pm.

Route was black top road but lacked street lighting, advisable to travel in groups if travelling late evening. Temple trust should advocate govt for street lighting on the highway.

Prefer to buy तिल oil from inside complex temple . You should know the practise of manner & what to offer to the god as no temple pujari here for the offerings.

INR 500 cost to be paid to temple authorities for offering oil directly to Shani maharaj ji

A big change that has been noticed:

They are selling prasad for INR 20/- which was never done earlier and it consits of two ladoos of mere size.

You can now go close to the shrine and offer the til oil for which they call VIP Darshan and is chargeable INR 500/-PP. Note: They only allow one person to offer the same not even a child is allowed without paying for the same.

This a world famous temple in Maharashtra India.
I have visited with my family.
After reached, do not hire any panda, local touts as they are like commission agent.
Pls purchase any puja offering by self from local shops.
Rates are very variable which varies person to person on those shops.
Also, pls purchase Til oil from temple trust shop which is opposite to shoe stand with nominal price.
Any body can took darshan of Shri Shani shila from floor.
For going on platform and touch Shri Shani shila, VIP ticket is mandatory which costs 500 rs per person who is 10 years and above.

Really worth visit.

Shani Dev temple is dedicated to lord Shani - Saturn. It is believed that idol has emerged swayambhu in the form of the black stone. Lakhs of devotees coming to the temple for darshan and offer mustard oil. Prayers can be offered near the main podium.
One can club this temple visit alongwith Shirdi Saibaba temple, as shingnapur village is around 70 km from shirdi.

Shani shingnapur which is known for its trust and honesty and being theft proof, is a hoax. Being a tourist from the other state, I got scammed for darshan from the local so called honest people of shani singnapur. I will recommend those who want to visit the place, don’t ever fall for any words said by the shop keepers and the local guides and the car drivers who has a commission on the customers purchases. Worst experience for me in all of my visits to devotional places all over india.

Scam still continues. Few men/boys block the road so cars can’t pass and demand or divert cars to parking loots to scam people.

Why can’t city officials have organized process to reduce scam and thereby increase tourism and people feel safe to travel to the city.
