I like their tequila but this is not the best tour. It's an factory without any current production, empty of all work or plant material. So if this is your only experience, you still won't know how tequila is made afterward, or how a 'piña' looks or smells or tastes. Huge numbers of buses made it very busy, and the guide spoke rapidly. Also, we only got to try two kinds, the Plata and Reposado. Both are basically mixing tequilas, not meant for sipping. There was none of the finer tequilas like añejo or extra añejo available for tasting, not even for a fee. Also, not Covid safe - you sat on long tables, shoulder to shoulder with strangers from all over, maskless of course, to sip your tequila. The cave was nice, impressive numbers of barrels. Tour was cheap enough, but there are much, much better, more informative tours elsewhere in Tequila.

Our English speaking guide was wonderful. She explained the process and was very knowledgeable with our questions. She was stung by a scorpion, on the tour before ours, but never complained.
The grounds are very nice, with shade trees, and blue agave. The cellar is very cool, as they have decorated the brick ceiling with a million little lights. It makes for a beautiful picture.
The capilla is something to see. It’s underground, and the pews are made of tequila barrels. You can tell that this place was designed by a woman, with an amazing eye for detail.
I will recommend Tequilera Tres Mujeres to all of my friends.

Our English guide made it so fun! Great toasts in Spanish he had. Chapel is beautiful the barrel storage and underground tasting area is awesome. Mariachis playing while down there, made for perfect tasting experience

I’ve been on many distillery tours (tequila, mezcal, bourbon, vodka, wine). This was a very good one. Done in English or Spanish. Your group alone. Many tastings. One of my favorites, Amor Mio Extra Anejo, is produced here. No tastings of it though. Tres Mujeres has excellent anejo and extra anejo tequilas.

If you are going to Tequila, try and go to Tres Mujeres. It is not actually in Tequila but a short drive away. I believe they are the only all organic distillery. The process of how they make the product is short and sweet. The most amazing thing in the process is the underground cavern where they store the barrels while they age.

And make certain you visit their church on property! Very unusual and perhaps something you have never seen before.

Our tour guide was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The distillery tour was very interesting, and it was cool to see the "old" way of doing things versus the new way. The underground storage area was amazing and there is a great photo opportunity down there as well. And of course the Tequila was great! My favorite was the extra añejo of course 👍

We visited this artisanal tequila producer and learnt much about how to make and drink tequila. Our guide was fabulous and very patient to guide us through the process and the drinking! The tequilas we tried were excellent and you can buy on premise.
We were supposed to see a few producers around the area, but because we were happy taking our time in a couple of places, we had to forego some of the tour. We ended the tour eating the best, most delicious tacos in Tequila ! And no hangover :))
The tour itself is inexpensive and includes tequila tasting. A must see and do in Mexico - but give yourself enough time if you want to see different types of producers and taste more tequila~

My driver recommended this place whilst on our way to Tequila. It is one of the closer spots to Guadalajara, and only took about an hour to reach. The tour was 30 pesos and lasted an hour. It seems they may have English speaking tour guides, but my tour was all in Spanish. The caves where they store Tequlia are great to wander through. The worst tequila here was better than all the tequila I tasted at Sauza. There are several tastings of anejo and extra anejo varieties. It seems like the big tequila tours are factory tours while Tres Mujeres is more like visiting a farm.

Handcrafted original family owned distillery specializing in small batch tequilas that can hold their ground against any of the well known giants. José was an extremely well versed guide even though he looks 12 🤣. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and will explain the process from the planting to harvest to distillation and aging.

Without spending too much on a Tequila tour, you get a basic understanding of how Tequila is prepared - this gives you an opportunity to spend the savings on more expensive Tequila of your choice later on.

We did get a chance to see the Jose Cuervo distillery later on which is well laid out and fancy and has some large storage and preparation facilities but doubt if the process is any different.
