We were friends who have been to other tequila distilleries, we had gone to a smaller one earlier -- this is the BEST! The receptionist was very accommodating, being we showed up on Sunday afternoon and she found a young couple that spoke English to give us a tour. There was even a man who cut off the agave leaves... Herradura is one of the finest tequilas in the world. After visiting La Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Mexico, one truly appreciates the love that goes into every bottle of tequila! We started our tour with a chance to get the blood pumping in our bodies: we grabbed the el Jimador and started to peel away the layers of the leaves... More

This tour is a must! Went with my dad and other family members. The fun starts as soon as you check in with a mariachi playing for the guests as they wait to board the buses. Our tour started at 9:30, and the drinks started flowing immediately. Our tour guides were so incredibly friendly and helpful!! The tour itself was... More

This was the most beautiful hacienda with impressive rich and historic past. The tour is incredible and the grounds are so beautiful. To learn about how the tequila is made and the incredible painstaking detail is truly enlightening. Their commitment to quality is unmatched. It is a must see. Really!

We were pleasantly surprised by the tour they gave us at Casa Herradura. Saul our guide was very informative & was good about answering all of our questions. It was great to see how the process of making fine tequila has been done for generations. The best part of the tour for me was going to the original factory &... More

One of the things we were looking forward to was visiting a tequileria. As heradura is abrand we drink ourselves, we had to visit. We used the regular busses between guadalajara and tequila, getting off at the roadsign for heredura. Ask the driver to let you know. Then walk a few hundred metres down the road and you will pass... We had a works team outing to the hacienda Casa Herradura where the guide took us around the large estate, giving us an insight to the history of the place, and the process of taking Aqave and making tequila from it. The smells, and tastes experienced on the tour are delicious. Great day out! They also do a meal along... More

The towns of Amatitan and Tequila are just a quick one hour drive from Guadalajara, Jalisco. If you have a half day to spare while on your trip to GDL and enjoy tequila, I highly recommend checking out one of the tequileras in the area - specifically Casa Herradura! The place itself is a beautiful historic hacienda, not your typical... More

After touring about 4 other Tequila Houses I dare to say this tour is the best of all. This place is a very large Hacienda that preserves the magic of the old architecture and gets advantage of it. As it is well preserved from its foundation you'll see the amazing architecture that melts with the high end technology to get... More

I took my late wife's brother and sister in law to the area for their 50th wedding anniversary. High on their list of things to do was to visit the Herradura distillery. We had a rental car, so we were able to tour the area at our own pace. We took the Libre (free road) from Guadalajara because you always... More
