St. John the Baptist is a very special church with a very special feel. The congregation are friendly and welcoming and Rev. Janet Bailey is a lovely Vicar who is caring and compassionate. Pleased to see that the church clock seems to have been reconditioned and maybe regilded. This is still a lovely little village church.

An attractive village church which I was delighted to find open for visitors. Inside, in the middle of the nave, there is a beautiful old, cast-iron stove with a tall metal chimney. This is lovely simple, very welcoming church and I was delighted to see it.

I am not an ecclesiastical or architectural student but I am interested in older church buildings. I like this one for its peaceful simplicity. Sits neatly on the corner of the only junction in this small friendly village. It as a lovely shape outside and spiritual feel inside.

Built on the site of a much older building the present church seems to be largely the product of reconstruction after the previous church was badly damaged during the civil war. I thought these things happened at the reformation but there you go. The blurb said it was rebuilt after the restoration. Leave that one to the historians and clerics.... More
