PCH offers many beautiful vista points specially at sunset. Point sur lighthouse, big sur state park are some of them. I got there just before the sundown and managed to capture a gorgeous sunset. The waterfall there is special too, that is the only waterfall which falls directly to the beach as far as I know. The pics here were... More

Driving along Pacific Coast Highway and through Big Sur we caught a glimpse of McWay Falls and fell in love with the views along the way - not hard to do when you've got the roof down on your Mustang convertible and 'Big Sur' music playing on CD. The driving is great because you're going slowly along the winding roads... More

This is a great place to stay the night in a hotel or camp. Great Redwoods and swimming holes. Hike to the waterfall if you have time

We stayed at the Big Sur Lodge in January 2017. The room was large and the staff were helpful. The lodge fireplace is nice. The room had no tv and no refrigerator. That would have been fine if the the restaurant, gift shop and park had been open but they were closed so there was less to do in the... More

The drive along the scenic Route 1 in California leaves one breathless and totally stunned! The view of the Pacific Ocean crashing against the rocks is a sight you will never forget in your life. Plan on a camping trip to fully enjoy the amazing scenery...there are several options worth exploring!

The central pacific coast is dotted with beautiful picture spots. The Pfeiffer Big Sur State park is easily located off Hwy 1. It's a rocky coastline, so no swimming. This primarily a picture and/or picnic stop.

A very peaceful place, along the coast, beautiful views, windy , still sauvage, now it has become a place to be seen, a natural setting a pleasure to explore.

One of the most tranquil places I've ever been to. Really easy to get to and worth veering off Hwy 1 as you drive along the coast.

You need a jacket. Even when it is sunny and really great weather a mile away from the ocean as soon as you get close, it is very chilly. The wind mainly was below 50F. Other than that the view are amazing: nice blue pacific ocean and breathtaking landscape.
