This one can be tricky to find. The turnoff from Highway 1 is not well marked. Its just south of the bridge that is just south of the entrance to Pfieffer Big Sur State Park

Beautiful and is a must see while visiting Big Sur. Parking is a bit limited down at the bottom of the trail which is beach front however you do have the option to park up on the highway and can bike ride down to the beach. It is a 2 mile bike ride and makes a for about a 30... More

This is on the way to Pfeiffer Beach. Make sure you get a map at the Monterey info building when you drive into the city. They can give you a map of all of Big Sur and the location to this place, which is a narrow road fit for only one car at a time. It's great for getting iconic... More

This is one special place, well worth the visit. There will be others I'm sure to walk on the purple sand and take that photo of the hole in the rock, but it is worth it

This stop took us a little longer than I expected... I've been here twice, in the beginning of May and it was pretty crowded, and the second time was mid November at night to shoot the stars... It is a nice beach, but if you're pressed for time I'd definitely put the other stops in Big Sur above this one.

This is a beautiful, unique place that is great for taking pictures. It was very cold when we visited but there were still many people. Well worth the trip down the small road and the $10 fee.

Heard a lot about this place from friends and a drive to this place is finally planned! After pulling off from the main road, the drive took us through a narrow and bumpy road. Looks like a drive through the forest. Drive slowly and carefully as you will find cars coming from the opposite direction and may need some kind... More

This beach was really really cool but literally filled with tourists who did not seem to be there to enjoy the view but to take photos to enjoy later? It was actually annoying as they were unmovable for those who wanted to take the scene in real time. If you walk all the way to the end of the beach... More
