There are not many rooms but each one is filled with interest. There are some wonderful automatons. One in particular captivated me. It was an artist painting a portrait of a lady. Next to the model was a painting of the lady, very clever.

The chateau de Vendeuvre is well worth a detour. There is so much to see: a museum of miniature furniture, the cluttered chateau, the kitchens, the collection of animal paraphernalia and the grounds with its water games. The welcome was friendly, we were advised as...More

In contrast to some of the other reviews, we were welcomed by the staff members on duty. The lady in the chateau spoke excellent English and said we could take photos without flash. The rooms are charming but rather cluttered with a vast collection of...More

It was the count and his lady and his son themselves who showed us the castle and the gardens; very nice people who told us the history! Unforgettable visit

I found the miniature furniture collection to be the most interesting and the surprise water gardens to be fun and pleasant. As of June 2017, the gardens seemed well kept and the chateau in decent shape. You cannot take pictures of the chateau interior or...More

Really surprised by this place. The chateau is bijou by comparison to one's in the Loire, but the miniature museum is really interesting and the marionettes in the rooms are fun. The garden was the real treat, the water features surprise you as you never...More

We visited this fabulous chateau on a rainy day in October. My partner is a French antiques dealer and he was impressed with the minatures collection which is one of the biggest collections in Europe. The gardens are stunning and compliment the chateau. In an...More

The gardens are wonderfull, the castle itself is nothing special, it´s very small and a ticket is way too expensive for what you get. The staff in the castle refused to speak English and they weren´t friendlly at all. And why on earth do they...More
