My husband and I stopped here to have a quick tour and try some wine. Do make a reservation for a tour first, as we did not and were fortunate enough that the group who was scheduled was running late, so they squeezed us in. The wine here is really good, especially, if like me, you like your sweeter whites.... More

Family run winery. Every effort made to make us enjoy the experience. They also adopt abandoned animals which was a big plus for us. The wines were amazing as well. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back to make more purchases.

My boyfriend and I saw this place on the road to the other side of Crete and we thought we'd take a chance and make a stop. We were in luck because it was the best stop of the day! The owner was there and he was so kind and friendly that he offered to give us a tour and... More

Dropped in no notice, Anthony, son of the owner, was very nice of him to gave us a tour and wine tasting. Easy to find, worth stopping by, currently their wine not exported to the US which is disappointing, the Cab was excellent. Make an effort to stop by.

My wife and I stopped for the winery tour and wine tasting lunch during our drive from Chora Sfakion to Matala. It was an ideal way to break up the drive after crossing the mountains. The tasting consisted of full glasses from a rotation of different wines to drink while we enjoyed their light lunch. Both the food and the... More

We stayed in Almyrida and took a cab to Dourakis winery. We had a wonderful tour in their winery and got to see all the stages in winemaking. After the tour we got to taste 5 different wines with a light lunch with cretan specialities. Wonderful!!

I drove from Chania to visit Dourakis Winery. It was worth every minute of the drive. The location is beautiful, charming, and very relaxing. The wines were delicious. Kudos was my favorite! My tasting was conducted by Faye and she was both knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem!

This is a charming small winery that looks like it's been around for hundreds of years (started in 1988!) The main showroom and porch offer a wonderfully relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Adonis gave us a tour of the winery. This was not our first winery tour but it was one of the more interesting ones. They are just... More
