The drive through the Romsdalen Valeey was really breathtaking. A winding road along the valley, sometimes narrowing down to a gorge, high mountains on each side of the road and water, water everywhere. Waterfalls, small lakes, streams . . . Extremely beautiful landscape.

Arrived for a full day in Andalsnes (An-Dal-sneighs). Very pretty town. We visited on Thursday 9th March 2017 as part of our cruise to see The Northern Lights aboard P&O Oriana. We boarded our tour bus, air conditioned, very comfortable roomy seats, and - best...More

Took a coach and train trip through here today. It was superb. The height of the mountains is staggering. The snow! The frozen waterfalls. The size of the fallen boulders OMG.

The Norwegian nature never seizes to impress. The whole area of Romsdalen is beautiful, with the mountains looking like mythical trolls. Trollveggen being its king. Hopefully it is not surrounded by fog when you visit.

Took a group of friends to the top of Trollveggen - it's marvelous! Of course, we're not crazy enough to climb the steep side, so we drove to Trollstigen in our Oldsmobile, parked it and started walking. After going over Romsdalseggen the day before, Trollveggen...More

This is one of the most beautiful mountain passes in the world. Views to all directions are amazing. Driving through the serpentines can be a bit thrilling. Take a deep breath and be patient. Yield for the busses... The views are worth it.
