Really great hike and reward of breathtaking view. If you done any trail walking or hiking before, this is a walk in the park, but if you find this hard forget trolltunga.

Yes definitely. When there you need about 2 hours to ascend and less for the decent.

Depends on what you want...but Stavanger is the closest major town - about 90 min drive away. Most people seem to stay there and drive/bus up.
