Was here with family. One kid age 11 and one 17. The place has something for us all! Arts & craft, playground for kids, a couple of museums (old working in the woods tools, old house, iron factory history and more). A nice place to eat, to sitt outside sourunded by all the smal, old buildings and gardens and the playground in sight. Perfect stop on the way to or from Vrangfoss sluser (locks). …

These nice little red buildings originally housed the families of the workers of the adjacent iron mongery (Ulefos Jernværk - Norways' oldest running industrial company (1657)), and the former sawmill, and other industrial activities. Today, you find no people living here, but various diplays, gallery, shops, among them an antiquarian bookshop, a nice little cafeteria, etc.…
