This was a lovely waterfall on our trip around the rainforest it was easy to access most parts and a beautiful place to stop. There were parts I didn’t access due to limited mobility, but plenty for me access and see.

It took about 2 hours to walk to the falls one way. You have to walk up the creek bed, it is not an easy walk. Wear good shoes suitable for walking on rocks under water, some of which are slippery.

On our drive up to Cape Tribulation, we stopped in Diwan to check out Alexandra Bay Waterfall. It was a good walk to get there and back, not too challenging but nice to stretch our legs and feel the mist off the falls.

It was well worth the 2.5 hour trek through creeks and some pretty ordinary terrain with 'wait a while' plants grabbing you, to get to the bottom of some of the most spectacular falls that I've seen.

The walk to the waterfall started from the back of the Heritage Lodge where for safety reasons they took our names, time of departure and approximate time of return. Nice to know someone is watching your back! Not that the walk is difficult, but incase...More
