For the owner of paralysis: The ghost hunt that myself and x2 friends attended last night Sat 29th April for her 30th birthday was ruined by the unprofessionalism of the staff involved in particular Callum and Jack who spent most of the evening laughing, joking, messing about making noises, singing and generally completely ruining the evening. I've done over 10 previous ghost hunts at various venues around the UK and never ever have I experienced anything like what happened last night. In fact most guests that behaved that way would be asked to leave. He then spent time ringing 111 after discussing his ear infection, holiday during the attemps at connecting with spirits and falling asleep in a room with half of our belongings. I'm unsure why x4 staff members to x3 was needed. Had it not been for my friends birthday who arranged it I would have left early. Even one of the women Jules said "your supposed to be paying for this" however as guests we shouldn't be having to be the ones to tell the hosts to be quiet and respectful. We had attended an escape room previously hence my friend booking the ghost hunt. It was utterly shocking, limited equipment no investigations such as table tipping/ouiji board etc and no opportunity to do a lone group vigil just had to put up to listening to the random tales of the women and the men that wouldn't keep quiet. We were extremely disappointed.

I did the entity room with my friends a couple of weeks ago, and in all honesty, I was left quite disappointed. It was my suggestion to do an escape room here after having done the other 2 rooms with my colleagues, but entity felt lackluster. The puzzles didn't really flow too well and the ending seemed a bit anticlimactic. There were also some red herrings in the room that felt like it was part of the game, but it ended up not being for anything. It probably wouldn't be the best for bigger groups either as it was a squeeze. Staff were a bit less engaging than usual, so it was really disheartening.

Clearly a very passionate owner. We’ve only done one room here but didn’t feel like there were many puzzles to solve. We’ve yet to return to do their newer room so hopefully more puzzles in that one!

This escape room has the potential to be incredible. However, a number of the clues were either missing or already solved. It’s also a stretch to call it a horror escape room as it is barely scary at all…unless you have a a fear of dirt. I’m disappointed that I travelled all the way from Nottingham and I’m confused as to why this escape room has such positive reviews. I don’t think it was worth the money or travel.

We completed the phobia escape room yesterday, except we actually didn’t. Upon entering the venue, I was so excited; the door opened creepily, and a member of staff jumps out at us as we enter. They sit us down for the brief, telling us that it’s the “scariest escape room in Europe”. Hyped up and raring to start, we enter the escape room. We begin scrambling around for clues, but we are stumped. A box with an open lock containing two random objects is the only thing we find. We become very frustrated. The room was not set up properly. The puzzle is linear and there were multiple pieces of the escape room missing. The initial key was not there. The box that was unlocked was actually needed much later. The host chucks the mentioned key through the door, and we begin to find key after key to unlock padlocks (which really did not require much problem solving). The room is horribly filthy and damp. This is a cellar that, had it been in my house, I would not feel comfortable storing my belongings in. I don’t want to give away what happens, but the “scare” element was not scary. We have done many escape rooms and this is one of the least scary horror themed rooms we have completed. (If you’re looking for a scare, try “Abducted” at the Great Escape in Sheffield) We spent around £100 on a game that was not set up properly, poorly thought through and filthy. Such a disappointment, I don’t really understand why the previous reviews are so good! The staff are friendly, but the host for our game was either having the worst day in his career, or just doesn’t really care. So disappointing!
