Interesting museum, much larger than expected. Nice shop and pretty tea room (although the cake was disappointingly dry), but quite expensive. However entry to the museum is free so happy to pay more in the cafe. Nice facilities and baby changing. Also a factory outlet on site.

We went to have Breakfast with Santa today and it was so wonderful! The breakfast was delicious and Santa was the most realistic one I’ve ever seen. The elves were also really lovely who got the kids really excited and took some family pictures for us. To top it all off the presents from Santa were really good quality. We have decided to make it a tradition now and come back every year.

On Sunday , 12th December, we had a wonderful afternoon enjoying a glorious afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and welcoming and extremely professional.
The presentation of the food was mouthwatering and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and we were allowed to eat and drink without any time restriction. There was an excellent choice of teas for those who want to try something different from breakfast tea and coffee was also an option for non tea drinkers .
We can fully recommend coming here for this experience and we will certainly be back again and recommend to our friends and family .

We had the most AMAZING experience at Breakfast with Santa! Our children are 9 and 11 and really enjoyed a bit of a more grown up feel to their previous breakfasts with the big man in other venues.

The staff were so friendly (especially the elves!) and escorted us from our beautifully laden table (only the best tablewear here you know!) to sit with Santa. He was very engaging on their age level, and they had a lovely gift.

The setting was stunning - from the Christmas decor to the table, and obviously the food was first class. It was a lovely enjoyable family occasion which we thought very good value for money.

We really enjoyed browsing the visitor museum and of course some Christmas shopping. The boys (and us) learned lots about Josiah's links with anti-slavery which was fascinating. The displays and artwork around this were quite brilliant.

This is the most beautiful Santa’s grotto we’ve experienced in Staffordshire. It’s well lit for starters (all the others are so dark for some reason) and I loved the decorative props that represented Wedgwood ornaments. Santa was so lovely, so authentic…going into great detail about all things Christmas (how children make the nice list, how the reindeers fly, etc) and he was even knowledgable about the very specific items our boys had on their Christmas list. He made the boys laugh and they had such a good time. It was a gorgeous experience and we will continue to come back to this one without a doubt. The only slight thing I would change is to perhaps have Santa meet the children in the beautiful sleigh when they first walk in, for a photo, and then walk them down to his seat for their chat. We missed a photo op on the sleigh as the boys were eager to get down to Santa first. Aside from that it was perfect really.

Some lovely things to see and everything was laid out in a well ordered manner. We visited the tea room and main shop determined to treat ourselves especially as the Wedgwood Christmas decorations looked so good but were very disappointed to find anything affordable was made in China. We wanted something made by Wedgwood in England but instead came away empty handed. A great shame.

We only dropped in late in the day as passing through but as great fans of Wedgewood we couldn't resist a pitstop at this beautiful estate.
Desperate for some refreshments we visited the tearooms which are beautiful.
We were however bitterly disappointed by the poor service. Our order was incorrect when it arrived (we only ordered 2 drinks) .Then one coffee was very hot which was nice and the other coffee was a tepid so a waste of money.
Staff didn't know what we had had so even trying to pay wasn't straight forward. Staff appeared disorganised and disinterested.

Wedgwood a breathtaking estate in the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Founded on 1 May 1759 by an English potter/entrepreneur Josiah Wedgwood, it is best known for its outstanding fine china, porcelain, and luxury accessories. Nonetheless, it offers a lot more within same vicinity lies a relaxing tea room for that QBB "quick brunch break" in the midst of your tour, also a clay studio for a little fun to feel among lol, and a shop with beautiful porcelain wares all you want. Plan that weekend getaway, I tell you this is one you would want to visit again after your first.
