ITs a shame they let it get run down and all the signs and information on this area has been ruined by vandals weather etc. I was there 10 yrs ago when it was more maintained was quite shocked by my recent visit.

The history of it. nice place for a picnic .beautiful rivers. accessable by 4 wheeler or car. Written history at the site. Bring own food and drinks none on site.

It's a shame, since the history is quite interesting, but this site has been left to rot. There are no signs telling visitors about the site, they have all been removed or deteriorated. Getting to the site involves driving down 17km of logging roads: 11km...More

New France is somewhat of an unknown beyond the locals who live in Digby County. It was initially made into a park by the Maritime business giant Irving quite a few years ago and has quite a few trails, a large parking area and explanations...More
