Fabulous sands, exciting waves and interesting people - mainly surfers! A flight of steps down to the beach, so not for the fainthearted, and no facilities when you get there - but well worth it.

Lovely beach. No need to worry about changing in public as lots of people go natural here but it was fine. No hotels or horrible tourist paraphernalia anywhere to be seen. We are not naturalists but loved it for its rural lack of fussiness. But you need a car to get to it. The roads in this part of the... More

Two beautiful beaches in one. There's the small Langre and the large Langre Beach, on low tide both are connected. Very beautiful.

Langre is our favourite beach in the Santander area. The beach is split in two by a small headland with (looking out), the left beach being smaller but with easier access and, generally smaller surf. The larger right beach has some concreate steps but the bottom section was washed away a few years ago so there's a small scramble across... More

The beach is golden brown and the sea is a beautiful turquoise colour. If you are a swimmer, surfer or sun worshiper then this place could be just for you. However due to the steps it is not advisable to venture down if you have limited walking ability. If you are prudish then beware, although the majority of people we... More

Reputedly the best beach in Cantabria. Lovely golden sand, very natural, no chiringuitos or facilities in sight, loads of space and few people so nice. We really liked it, however, don't think this is the best; that title goes to Playa de Bellerin in my opinion - best kept secret of Cantabria!

What a wonderful beach Langre is....remote from the busy beaches around Santander Bay, beautiful to look at, clear water which was really quite warm in late June and good parking. Langre Beach is not supervised by lifeguards and there are no toilet facilities however it is worth going just for the fact that you will get a space to yourself... More

Leave the CA141 at Loredo or Galizano and take back road to Langre then follow beach (playa) signs to cliff top car park to be treated to an unspoiled terrific view of this beautiful Cantabrian bay. Lots of steps down from car park to beach but manageable for families and the abundant surfers enjoying rolling breakers. Virtually no on site... More

Definitely the nicest beach I have ever seen in Europe, unspoilt and not overly crowded , you have a choice of the smaller beach or the larger one (which is more busier). It does get quite wavey , which I thought added to the fun, me and my bf were dodging the waves. However do bring some food with you,... More
