It has been not what we expected at all... our main interests where the big zip line and de bobsleigh, but unfortunately, big zip line was not available due to maintenance. I asked an assistant and she kindly explained me that the big zip line was in maintenance. Then, I asked since when it was in maintenance and she told me that since long time ago. I do not understand why it is not informed on the website where we bought the tickets (we did it on the own park’s website). In addition, some attractions is used to close at 7 pm, others at 8 pm and the whole park closes at 9 pm... why???

However, I have to admit that the whole experience has been good in general, even with these facts...

Hi Victor, Thank you so much for your comment. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Sendaviva. Sendaviva closes at 9pm. Due to this, the farer places are closed a bit earlier (at 8pm) in order to ensure all visitors leave the park on time. Best regards

Great day out!
We had a really nice day and found plenty to interest our children (aged 16, 14 and 12). The park is quite large and spaced out so we walked a lot of steps but there is always something to see. There is transport between the main areas if you are at the pick up points at the right time. The last truck from the top of the hill was full so we had to walk back but the driver was very apologetic. The animals seemed to be well looked after. It was very quiet when we went (30/08) so had no trouble getting tickets for our two eldest children to go on the zip wire which they really enjoyed despite struggling to understand the Spanish instructions a little. We didn't have to queue for any activities. The food was good although only one place nearer the entrance serving food in the evening. Portions are large so possible to share to keep within a moderate budget. We downloaded the app before we went but most of the detail was in Spanish so it didn't help as much as we thought it might and we were given a paper map anyway. For us the only improvements would be a clearer timetable for the transport and food availability times.

Avoid going in summer, is full of wasps and flies. We had a terrible dinner the first day fighting and losing the battle with these insects.
Circus show is very limited, night show is prescindible. We arrived and 2pm and we were lost in the middle of the heat with no option but walking at 38C in the shadow all the way if not we had to wait for one hour for the transport. Food is horrible and expensive. Some attractions are very good, children will enjoy, but I think is very pricy overall, mainly when the food quality has dropped dramatically and need to pay extra for activities in the park.

A group of five (two adults and three kids of 14, 13 and 11) enjoyed the day to Sendaviva at a rate of 200%. (we have been to EuropaPark in Rust and PortAventura in Spain before). It is different, and nevertheless very enjoyable.

Beatiful quiet park with lots to do for young families
Aug 2017 • Family
We stopped off here on the way to Bilbao, The park is made up of 4 areas, there are rides, animals, a circus and a few eateries across the park.

We went in the middle of August and it wasn't busy (it was hot), it's open for 12 hours from 11am and there is a lot to do, each of the areas is some 500m apart and at different elevations, they have a land train which you can use to get between areas.

Most of the rides are suitable for young kids (2-8) there are a handful for older kids (7-18)

All of the signs are in Spanish, the staff did speak some English, we didn't meet any other Brits there (which was a nice change)

It was easy to get to with a good smooth road from the nearest Autopista

Food was expensive and basic (as with any similar park) but perfectly adequate

The price was well worth it, we didn't queue at all and the kids (4 and 6) had lots of fun.

We'll certainly go back, it had a lot of potential

A day out with the little one
Jun 2016 • Family
This is a great day out for all the family is staying in the local vicinity, it has a Zoo, plenty of rides, and shows on throughout the day. We caught the magic show held in the Circus tent (which was excellent despite the language barrier) and the end of the bird flying. There is a sprinkler system set up in various areas to provide respite from the heat and the zoo is set out with various trails segregating different types of animals. The place is on a scenic hilly location but has a land train and other forms of transport that visitors can use to get between the different areas. the only downfall I found was that children have to wear "pool shoes" for the water maze which had I read the website properly in advance I would have known. I was able to buy a pair there but the largest they had was an EU25, these were too small for my 3 year old! We did not have time to explore the whole park and there were quite a few rides that my daughter would've loved which she was too small for, I have promised her we will go back in a year or two next time we visit my friend who lives locally!

Dear friend, Thank you so much for your comment. We are glad that the whole family enjoy the journey at Sendaviva. You were even more fortunated that your visit also coincided with the month of the magic of Sendaviva. What a shame that you did not take some flip flops! Next time, we are sure you will not forget to wear them. Water rides are so great for children and adults in summer days. When travelling with kids we always recommend taking two days for visiting the park. In our web you will find all the information about attractions, animals, shows and activities. Information is available also in english. Hope to see you all soon! Regards

Great family day out!
Jul 2015
With over 200 species of animals to be discovered, Sendavida offers more than the traditional theme park. It's a farm, zoo & theme park all in one.
You’ll be able to see monkeys, tigers, zebras, bulls, brown bears, wolves, ostriches, birds of prey and snakes or get up close to farm animals such as horses, cows, goats, chicks, chickens etc…
It's a nice family day out, especially if you have young children. Older children might feel that some of the rides are a bit tame. There are however a few old-school style attractions that are fun for all ages such as the bobsleigh track or the rubber ring slide.
The park also offers a circus show that young children will enjoy. There are not many artists but the show is well put together and will make the little ones giggle. The highlight however, is without a doubt the bird show – It is pretty amazing so make sure you don’t miss it!

Top tips:
- Purchase your ticket online in advance. It’s cheaper and you won’t have to queue for so long on arrival (there’s a fast track queue if you already have your ticket).
- Be prepared to test your Spanish! All the information & signs are written in Basque & Spanish. Some of the staff speak English but not all staff are fluent!
- Arrive when the park opens to make the most of the day.
- If you are planning a holiday to the Bardenas, you can read more about my adventures on my blog aglanceatfrance.com

Dear friend, Once again thank you so much for your comment. We are so glad that you and the whole family enjoyed your stay at Sendaviva. It's right when you say that both children and adults are allowed to have a great day all together. Nature, animals, rides, shows and an amazing views is what we offer. Our Birds of Prey in Flight Show is one of the best in Europe. Something that you cannot miss when visiting Sendaviva, as well as our Circus Show that surprises visitors with extreme balancing acts, acrobatics and breathtaking juggling feats and magic. Sorry if our English is not very fluent, we are trying to improve it. For the moment, you can find our web, that has been recently renewed, in English and also French. Hope to see you back soon! Regards,

Worth day out
Jul 2015 • Couples
In this review I will write in English, because there was no information in English at the park. The staff is very service-minded and speaks English, but there were no signs and information about the animals there. There are many animals and birds. The show with trained birds was awesome, and really long, amazing experience, but also in Spanish only. The attractions are mainly for children and few of them are for older audience. You have to book few attractions before head so that you can try them. One of the attractions is paid, it is not included entirely in the entrance ticket. In high season the ticket is 29 euros. Prepare one whole day for Sendaviva.

Frustrating at times but worth going to.
The first thing we had to do once we were in was queue to reserve a place for a halloween show and we thought for the zip wire too. After 25 minutes they told us there were no places left for the show and here wasn't the place to reserve for the zip wire (you have to go to the info point in the main part of the park) despite being told at the entrance that these information points were where we needed go. You can then either queue another 30 minutes to get on a truck that takes you to the main part of the park or you can walk it which I recommend. You get there in 5 minutes and see some animals on the way. So it's a bit frustrating at first and you start getting annoyed at the organisation which is not how you want to start the day. That said the park is nice with some fun rides for all ages, shows to enjoy and lots of animals to see. The surroundings are beautiful too, it's right next to the Bardenas desert. Don't bring a picnic as it's not allowed. The food on sale is fine, we had roast chicken. Apart from a frustrating start we enjoyed our day here.

Dear Tom, Thanks for your comment. We apologize that you were not allowed to enjoy our zip wire. The places are limited for this ride, and it is in the Feria zone where you can make a reservation in case there is a place left. Also ‘The Haunted Mansion’ has limited places. However, this ride is not only because of Halloween. Indeed you can visit it during the whole season Sendaviva is opened. Our ‘Halloween programme’ includes an specific ‘Circus Show’ (two sessions per day), as well as our ‘Way of Terror’ too, the longest one in Europe (opened from 11’00 to 18’00). Sendaviva is totally prepared for pedestrian, and visitors can either walk or take our trains or trucks. Walking is most of the times a good option to see the animals and enjoy the beautiful scenery and surroundings of Bardenas Reales (declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO). In any way, we are glad that though your first frustration, you enjoyed your day with us. Best regards,
