You can't really understand Roros without visiting this museum, it explains the history of the copper mining which made the town wealthy. I felt there could have been a bit more basic info, and the flow through the museum could have been smoother.

This place is excellent. So much history and interesting things to do. Almost the outside parts are more interesting! Audio guides are very very slow, but informative and detailed! Worth the money of the ticket.

This museum is a must if you visit Røros. The information you get is substantial, and as you go down and look at the installations you really understand how hard the miners have been working from the middle of the seventeenth century.
