About
Aberglasney was made famous by the BBC television series "A Garden Lost in Time" which followed its restoration. Today it is quite simply one of Wales' finest gardens. A renowned plantsman's paradise with a unique Elizabethan cloister garden at its heart, Aberglasney offers the opportunity to explore more than 10 acres of ancient gardens as well as the award winning Ninfarium: a special indoor garden filled with exotic plants from around the world. The gardens and the fully restored ground floor of Aberglasney's grade II* listed mansion offer a stunning venue for exhibitions and events. Aberglasney Gardens, the highly regarded tearooms, our shop and plant sales area are OPEN EVERY DAY (except Christmas Day.)The gardens are largely wheelchair friendly, (wheelchairs can be pre-booked.)

Gardens in Autumn Aberglasney
Oct 2020
We cane here by appointment in October and it was wonderful with so many flowers still in bloom. Good distancing as few people there. We stopped to see the Bonsoi trees being pruned. Distancing was good for our coffee break. We enjoyed our visit on a mild, dry day.

Wet day out
Oct 2020
shame that it was raining but we still managed to get round and enjoy the various plants on display. Because of the weather we decided to miss a lot of the gardens out and return in the summer next year .Staff very helpful and informative. We will return hopefully on a sunny day and make a full day of it.

What a lovely place. All these years and we've never been before but we will most definitely be back again when local lockdown are lifted.

A definite must visit beautiful garden
Sep 2020
Relaxing in a wonderful large garden with lots of seats to sit on throughout the grounds enjoying views, plants and being joined by a cheeky robin. The gardens are well cared for and superb and obviously tended for during lockdown period resulting in wherever we went it was a joy to be. The staff had obviously put a lot of thoughts into planning for the reopening to make it safe for visitors from the dining areas, reception, toilets etc with hand sanitizers throughout.
The shop we gave up on entering as only one family at a time but we could pay for the plants at reception.
Go, well worth it.

Lovely, relaxed garden.

Don't just see the obvious areas by the house and pool, do the woodland and streamside walk, and the alpine area (glorious gentians); the arboretum and shrubby woodland full of hydrangeas and cyclamen. A garden that got better the further we went.

Beautiful gardens!
Sep 2020 • Couples
We thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours wandering around the beautiful gardens, and were pleasantly surprised by how much colour there still was at this time of year! Sadly the house was closed due to current restrictions but we were pleased to find that the cafe was still open and serving food/drinks from a hatch for people to have outside. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly, and we would certainly visit again!

A hidden gem
Sep 2020
Once again I was lucky enough to be taken to Aberglasney, I absolutely love this place, everytime I come here there is always something different to see at the gardens.
The coffee shop/cafe is now back open with great social distancing for all, plenty of sanitizers making you feel safe on your visit. Storms and rain downpours will take their toll on any garden, so i was surprised to see such a beautiful array of plants on show. As an old amiture photographer Aberglasney is a paradise of splendour, still bursting with all the colours of the rainbow.
This is the most calming place I have ever visited, and hope to be brought here as many time as possible in the future.
