Aberglasney was made famous by the BBC television series "A Garden Lost in Time" which followed its restoration. Today it is quite simply one of Wales' finest gardens. A renowned plantsman's paradise with a unique Elizabethan cloister garden at its heart, Aberglasney offers the opportunity to explore more than 10 acres of ancient gardens as well as the award winning Ninfarium: a special indoor garden filled with exotic plants from around the world.

The gardens and the fully restored ground floor of Aberglasney's grade II* listed mansion offer a stunning venue for exhibitions and events.

Aberglasney Gardens, the highly regarded tearooms, our shop and plant sales area are OPEN EVERY DAY (except Christmas Day.)The gardens are largely wheelchair friendly, (wheelchairs can be pre-booked.)

Visited on 5th February, and considering the time of year there was a lot of colour and interesting plants to see, snowdrops stunning, the paths were in good repair and the weather helped. The Nefarium was particulary interesting. Had lunch in the tea rooms with very courteous and friendly staff, an excellent bowl of ham cawl, and coffee well priced,... More

We visited for the Christmas/Winter Fayre and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. It seemed very popular and very well organised for the amount of people that came. Enjoyed the chance to walk around the gardens which were pretty and despite the time of year where full of interesting features. These gardens are well worth a visit.

Its such a wonderful venue, no matter what time of year. This Winter Fayre was brilliant. So much to see and buy. Lots of bargains. Lovely food to eat in the tearooms and also on the stalls. Put it on your list for next year. Well worth a visit. Can recommend. This is my third year for visiting it.

MaryEllen's Tea rooms in the grounds of Aberglasney provide visitors with a much needed cup of tea / snacks and absolutely beautiful cake. However on a recent visit to the gardens some of the staff of MaryEllen's were downright rude ! They could certainly do with some lessons in customer service ! Spoilt an otherwise enjoyable visit.

We visited the house and gardens for the Christmas fair and we were definitely glad we did- there were so many stalls there selling all manner of locally produced goods at really quite reasonable prices. The gardens themselves were beautifully kept and still had plenty to look at,even at this time of year. The produce market was also amazing I... More

Went to visit the Winter Fayre. The car park staff were helpful and I did only have to pay for myself as my career went free. The disabled toilets are right as you go in, so if you need to go again it's a climb up the hill. The marquee's were well thought about with nice wooden floors and nicely... More

If you want a wonderful day out Aberglasney has it all with ample car parking. Beautiful walks with wonderful gardens and a restaurant that serves top quality food at reasonable prices. If its gifts you want there is a shop and area that sells plants.

We visited the gardens in August. It was a great day out. We probably prefered these gardens to the National Botanical gardens as the setting here is more historical. The facilities on site are excellent but were very busy at lunch time.
