I may not be the most religios person but in this case it does not really matter. You can also visit it just to appreciate the bauty of this Basilica form the outside and the inside as well.

You will have to walk a bit to go inside basilica. The parking is outside of gates and for free. Very magnificent interior for Latvians. And when I was there was no entrance fee. I think it’s like that all the time but can’t guarantee...More

Everyone who belives in God or like churches, should went also to Latvia and went into Aglona. As i was here, there was beautifull wedding.

Even more unique and interesting in case you happen to visit or drive by Aglona at 15th of August. We saw all the pilgrims from different countries gather and there were huge amount of people celebrating some religious event.

This basilica seems more business orientated place than sanctuary. It is difficult to explain, but such feeling prevaded :(

Amazing place must see everybody. White church looks impressive not just visually, but also energetic wise. Each year 15.08 little Aglona city getting simply overloaded with people of different ages, nationalities etc. Mass walk with candles during the night it's worth to see and to...More
