Whiteman Park is a unique conservation and recreation reserve, covering 4,000 hectares of natural bushland and leisure facilities just 25 minutes from the Perth CBD. The Park, located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley, boasts a fantastic array of attractions and facilities making it a great destination for families and tourists alike. Best of all, entry to the Park is free.

The extensive array of attractions includes the popular Caversham Wildlife Park, where you can feed the kangaroos, pat a koala and meet a wombat. While evening tours of Woodland Reserve offer you a rare view of the Park at night - and a rarer encounter with the endangered woylie, a cute hopping mammal that is thriving in the protected sanctuary at Whiteman Park.

Discover our rich transport heritage story in three museums - Revolutions Transport Museum, the impressive Motor Museum of WA and the Tractor Museum of WA. Then explore the Park by vintage train or tram, taking a leisurely trip through remnant farmland and natural bushland; or on a guided tour by vintage bus each Monday.

Take delight in wandering through the Children's Forest with the kids, searching for intriguing artworks - from the peeking possum to a life-size wedge-tailed eagle's nest and golden echidna - whilst finding out more about our native bushland.

Open every day of the year, the picturesque grounds of the Village and Mussel Pool areas are perfect for picnics with lush lawns, shady trees and well-appointed facilities including playgrounds, a splash pool, ample BBQs and shelters. Other facilities include three bush walking trails, 14km of shared use paths, and a dog exercise area,

A variety of quaint Village shops including the Print, Pottery and Handcraft shops, The Lolly Stop and Village Art Gallery round out the attractions, all of which are wheelchair accessible.

This place is set on huge acres with lovely lush green lawn, playgrounds, heaps to see and do and most of the things are free. For our visit the tractor museum was closed, no mention of this on website or entering the park, this was a bit average as 2 of our party specifically wanted to view the tractor museum.... More

There is a nice walking trail (1.5km or so) that takes you from the outer parking into the mussel pool/park area. Gives you the feel of a bush walk through the park. Nice views. It is a good walk - nice and flat, too. Interesting flora along the way.

Hi Charlotte, Thank you for the review. Whiteman Park has three bushwalking trails – Werillyiup, Goo Loorto and Wununga – that encompass Horse Swamp, Bennett Brook and the Park’s Banksia woodland respectively. Each bush trail encompasses a different and valuable facet of the wonders of the bushland, and all are well signposted. To help you explore these areas, and to... More

We took our visitors here and they enjoyed it. The weather was perfect so the place was very busy and parking was a little hard to find. There is a small water park for the kids, which didn't know about so my boy didn't have spare clothes to be able to enjoy it. We did go on the tram, but... More

Thank you for your review. As you discovered, there is so much to see and do at Whiteman Park, so you will have to come back and visit us again. I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble finding a parking space on the day of your visit. We have over 1,000 bays park-wide, so finding a parking spot shouldn't... More

After visiting the wildlife park we ventured onto Whiteman Park. What a great little place. There is a cafe for a meal or coffee which was great. My kids greatly enjoyed swimming in the shallow wading pool. The toilets there were modern and clean. There were BBQ facilities and playgrounds. I could have spent a few more hours here. Spend... Beautiful park with loads of options for all ages, very well laid out and clean. We went to Caversham park and spent about 3 hours wondering around and attending the many shows they have running for most the day. Extremely friendly staff which for me is a massive bonus. Would recommend a visit. We weren't prepared with a picnic but... More

Taking the tram or train gives you a good overview of the park without having to walk around (though there are really more things to do). The children will enjoy sitting in the old fashioned transport and seeing the world go by. We even managed to catch a glimpse of a kangaroo in the bushes! If you're going in the... More

Great place to visit especially with kids. Lots of activities and lots to see. The kangaroo park is a must. Tip: if you are going summer prepare for heat and annoying flies.
