On a wet day, we ventured down to see these mysterious thrombolites. The drive down from Perth was perilous because of the heavy rain but otherwise, it would have been fine. We arrived to the site hoping for a break in the weather and it...More

Very interesting to see these ancient things. It is an easy boardwalk with good info on how these rock like things have been formed. Just south of Perth, visit it when you are heading south, small detour.

Winery looks rundown, in this case judge the book by its cover. Don't waste ur time stopping, owner stopped caring a long time ago.

Recommend visit to this spot (heading to Mandurah). Good parking near pathway to jetty, lake and the ancient sea- rock formations (Thrombolites). Although these Thrombolites can be seen in other places, this lakeside setting is a lovely and tranquil place to visit.
